looks like itIs the Aegean and Cebu Pacific releases delayed?
Wow that looks fantastic! I also note NG have decided to actually represent the model in the early 1975 ‘in service’ c/s; not as per the artwork on the box…she has Lockheed L-1011 titles on the rear fuselage, no black radome and all three matching long exhausts! Finally! The chrome looks fabulous.
Looks like that's what caused the delay. Nice to see them still committed to making stuff accurate, even if it results in a delay.Wow that looks fantastic! Definitely. Bit of an unexpected one here as usually the artwork on the box is what we’re going to get on the model - looks like the change was made at the last minute. Glad the exhausts all match, so in prototypical condition rather than temporaryLooks like that's what caused the delay. God damn it looks amazing. Finally! The chrome looks fabulous.
I'm not really sure wether there's a difference at all other than artwork. Here's a comparison, from left to right: old NG, real thing, new NG. Cockpit windows are slimmer and longer, while the forehead is smoother. Both were criticisms for the -8, so it gives me hope for that and the Classics.
I agree; I can see an improvement in the cockpit printing but everything else looks the same to meI'm not really sure wether there's a difference at all other than artwork.
The forehead might just be the angle, but it does look a little smoother to me. Cockpit's definitely changed though.I agree; I can see an improvement in the cockpit printing but everything else looks the same to me
Absolutely gorgeous! I cannot wait to receive mine! Finally! The chrome looks fabulous.
This CX 1011 has to be the Model of the Year thus far . Unless NG manages to best themselves in the coming few months.
Personal preferences aside, I think a well-electroplated Lettuce Sandwich 742 would beat it.This CX 1011 has to be the Model of the Year thus far . Unless NG manages to best themselves in the coming few months.
The accuracy and quiet commitment!
The delay is now a mere blip in time.
NG has definitely out-NG'd themselves on this one! IncredibleMore pics of the Cathay, courtesy of Waffle:
