NG Models January 2024 Release Hints

Indeed. They brought out that fabulous set of MD-80 molds... and sat on them. I wouldn't have cared if this release set had been all MD-80s, there are so many that I want to see.

I'm not too worried about the new moulds. They clearly rushed to get them ready for the last AMS show so can understand them not wanting to rush them into production, however the usage of their existing moulds has left a lot to be desired.

New moulds are great, but NG's 2023 track record has kinda tanked the hype. Their releases are an enigma, and not in a good way.

JC/PH/AV have diversity. GJ lacks variety, but consistently drops bangers for the Western market(+EK). AC does the same for classics. None of these brands fill a third of their monthly lists with rehashes.

So what's the logic behind NG's releases? Classics? Nope. Popular subjects from certain regions? Nope. Diversity? Nope, not when they consistently ignore major airlines people have been begging for them to cover. Needless re-releases and an insatiable love for special liveries? Sounds about right.
