That is weird - looks like it’s back-to-front and that cheat-line ‘swoosh’ on the #2 panel would line up on the other side if that’s a separate, symmetrical middle section it’s actually on, which was removed and then replaced on the wrong side following a maintenance check?Weirdly this frame N904WA had this tail.
Delta 737-200 for me.And for those curious, here is the full set from ezToys. View attachment 8985
Yeah looks that way to me as well. And it's immortalised now as a model Hehe. But curiously why would AC pick that reference image instead of the tons of others available where the livery panels are correctly fitted ?! Unless they plan to release N905WA subsequently in the correct livery - and thus are pushing this 'flawed' livery first so that they sell out? Just speculatingWow that’s awesome!! Again, it's just one of those funny things that happens with these things! At least it isn't an actual printing error and there was actually an aircraft that flew like this, but yeah the more prototypical matching cheat-line 'swoosh' on the #2 does look better. I'd be surprised if we ever see another one but you never know. I won't take the risk and I'll pick this one up, it's a superb classic along with that 1970s Thai...although, dammit, just noticed that the registration is HS-TMC?? Not correct for a 1970s delivery DC-10-30! It should be in the HS-TGA - HS-TGE range. HS-TMC was one of the 3 DC-10-30ER's acquired in 1987-88! The #2 intake cowling should also be unpainted (it looks like it could be white here as per the later batch). Otherwise it does wear the '70s scheme with 'Thai' repeated on the #2, but a bit of a stuff-up with those confused mistakes. I will still get it, along with the Air Hawaii - they are bound to sell out quick I reckon, regardless!Yeah looks that way to me as well. And it's immortalised now as a model Hehe. But super super thrilled as you are too about the Thai DC-10 - a copy of that is definitely headed my way!
Ouch! Sigh ! But will need to pick up both nonetheless as they're sure to disappear. This just isn't doneAgain, it's just one of those funny things that happens with these things! 2008 was quite a long time ago… Nearly 15 years! A lot of people probably were not collecting back then, and for them, a rerelease is appreciated!Aeroclassics have already made Thai DC-10 HS-TMA in 2008, so why repeat it so soon? Far more important models to repeat I would have thought?
Can't understand why AC would release ANOTHER Thai DC-10 as they only released HS-TMA in 2008 which I have! That was perfect,so why risk another one with errors? I would have thought there were far more important reissues to make?Again, it's just one of those funny things that happens with these things! Well, technically there was a gap that did need to be filled here with an original 1970s delivery example on the AC mould, which does have a livery variation too (albeit minor). The registration difference of that original batch was key and unfortunately that’s been stuffed up!Can't understand why AC would release ANOTHER Thai DC-10 as they only released HS-TMA in 2008 which I have! …which I also appreciate! This will help collectors who missed the first issue fill that gap However, this release is/should be different from the 2008 version and the registration, as well as the livery variation, should also have been the key distinction here.2008 was quite a long time ago… Nearly 15 years! It’s a frustrating thing in this hobby, we just have to live with it! Likewise, will jump on both as soon as they’re available at my regular retailer. I think they’ve both already gone at Eztoys, who as usual leaked them early!Ouch! Sigh ! But will need to pick up both nonetheless as they're sure to disappear. This just isn't done
Yep really frustrating! As usual it'll be - shakes-head-in-resignation-as-one-presses-*order*It’s a frustrating thing in this hobby, we just have to live with it!
