Good, glad it's OK.
Thanks a shame... On a lighter note, I always think 732s look quite funny with the rot-induced wing flex!
Theres one more plus 2 that have risk of zinc rot will upload photos laterOh wow, that's bad...and sad.
Yeah part of the 200+ collection that just came inWow, that's not good at all.
Any Australian models in there?Yeah part of the 200+ collection that just came in
Almost 70% aeroclassics
Crossing my fingers the Pacific westerns/ Canadian Norths won’t come in like that hoping to pick one up. Just put it in order for a ward air dc-10 and Canadian Dc-10
Hopefully, it's just the landing gear. I think those spare main and nose gear parts are still available from Aeroclassicsdirect.com or Jetcollector.comZinc rot strikes again.
Cool, will order them.I just checked. Jetcollector.com has them. It's spare parts #1, and only $3.25 right now.
Good deal. Hopefully it'll be as good as new.Cool, will order them.
I have one Air China B732 with same problem. I glued it back a year ago and still stands on the shelf.Hopefully, it's just the landing gear. I think those spare main and nose gear parts are still available from Aeroclassicsdirect.com or Jetcollector.com
I think u guys should be glad ur zinc rot is only a few cracks here and there, look at those varigs! (image from N907CL on DA.C)
And this!
Even worse, is that the 2nd photo is a BigBird!! eBay Sellers are now crying in the corner.I guess these models in these pics have also started with "a few cracks here and there" before evolving to these sad outcomes.
But sure, the less zinc rots effects, the better. Some models might just keep small cracks and stay mostly intact.
Yikes, imaging paying $450 for that BigBird and that happening...I think u guys should be glad ur zinc rot is only a few cracks here and there, look at those varigs! (image from N907CL on DA.C)View attachment 15141
