By the way, just wondering: is it possible to use the B747-400D mould for the B747-300s with GE CF6-80s? These were late build B743s which look very similar to the B744D. Originally only Varig, Thai and Air India had them.

Air India's were the only ones that looked fully 400D. So yes, you could do these. The others had the old style WBF

How do you acquire the blank models?

As far as I understood, you reserve what you want and get a 30% plus on the points. The reservation goes to your selected dealer through which you'll buy it in the end.

Have these models hit the retailers yet? I preordered The AA and United Max8s back when they were first announced and they haven't shipped out yet. Just wondering if this is the usual from NG as its my first preorder purchase from them

They should have been shipped out a while ago yes, but certain retailers may not have received them yet. I know in Canada that is the case for some due to the Canada Post strike.

I ordered From DGPilot. They've been a bit aloof about sending my order as of late, not much info from them.
