NG Models May 2024 Hints

I’m hoping that the SX registrations are the older livery Aegean. If so I will definitely pick those up. There’s a lot of typical regs though from NG which is disappointing if you don’t collect US or Chinese models.

Honestly, now that I have thought about it a bit more, I suspect this MD-80 release might be less exciting than I thought. It's possible they could be all AA, with one original AA bird (hopefully the black nose if that's the case), one AA with a former TW tail number, and one AA/TW hybrid. All screwdriver tailcones, of course.

If that's the case then I take some responsibility - I got too excited and spammed NG with AA mad dog suggestions since day one

Yeah they release a model with and without ultimate collection. Good for those who don't care about the box and it makes the releases look a lot larger than they actually are.

Higher for the DC-9 than the 727, as it could be an extension of their MD-80 moulds. The moulds being made is one thing, but them actually seeing use is another.

Pretty meh set for me. Plenty for the US and CN collector as always. The DAL A339s are nice, but do we really need 4???

Edit: Also the airframe used on AA’s last MD-80 flight.

There was the Air China from this release, but that's a rerelease, so it doesn't really count. It's unfortunate, but NG really are just going after wherever the money is.
