NG Model 1:400 February 2026 Release Hints

Rushing the releases isn't helping - this month's set is a good example - at least 2 highly anticipated A350s have wrongly positioned Cockpit printing, and the 777s are now wearing oversized sunglasses.
Somewhere there's been a gap in sampling and approvals due to the rush to ship domestically before their CNY holidays.
That's giving them too much credit. They could have another month to produce the models and the printing would still be effed if they decided to be lazy. There have been other batches of models with errors that were not released around the CNY holiday.

Yes, I did. Do not mistake me for someone uneducated on this matter. Did you see congress? The tariffs were declared illegal, as congress needs to approve tariffs before implementation. If this goes through (likely will) all tariffs will be reversed.
Hasn't Trump just reimposed them for 150 days at least, at 10% globally using a different mechanism. It is just more uncertainty and BS. Exactly what diecast, or anyone, doesn't need.
This is what I’ve been saying for a while. You can’t solely blame tariffs for the clear lack of U.S. releases last year — the change started long before they were considered, let alone went into effect.
We've had this conversation previously over and over but as per usual evidence is selectively ignored. What you are saying is simply not true. In Jan 2025 NG announced 9 US models. They still had 7 released in March after Trump began this madness. Then they released 19 the rest of the year.

there is always going to be a demand for US carriers, if a few dollars is going to make it impossible to buy for you, then its not the hobby for you, I see plenty of US airlines available, but how many of the same markings do we need, the rest of world carriers seem to have more interesting one off markings

Well I'm not American and so Trump's tariffs are just an annoyance in relation to 400 scale at least, BUT there are plenty of people who are impacted by tariff price rises and the first thing people cut when things get tight are luxury items.

Having literally been working with 400 scale manufacturers for the past year I can tell you that the tariffs had a serious impact on production of US models.

I agree though that the US market, being mature and highly concentrated nowadays, is a rather boring field for new models compared to developing markets.

NG's 1:200 is filled with US releases.
The presumed 'anti-US' sentiment argued by some above doesn't hold water
In 2025 NG made 30 US models in 200 scale of 110 releases. In 2024 they made 25 of 91 so the numbers stayed the same. However 200 scale and 400 scale are not the same. The models are a lot more expensive and I'd argue that people buying 200 scale are older and a lot less price sensitive than those buying 400 scale.

Ultimately NG still makes plenty of US models. It's just they make a lot more Chinese and Asian. And we've discussed why before - lots and lots.

“Solely” implies it’s not the one reason. These changes in releases started long before they were even considered so they can’t solely be blamed.

Now I’ve heard that there’s a new strategy coming — what exactly is to be seen, but I’m hoping the March releases will give us some clues. I’m not saying there will be more US releases, but it could be the start of a general shift in release choices. Maybe more European models or other Asian subjects they haven’t covered yet?

pinging @Starz10p Aviation on this because I know he’s awaiting more Japanese coverage from them hehe

It should be quite hyped models, I doubt that frontier is one of them
Out of 13 Frontier Airbus wishes, all of them have double digit votes and five are approved in some capacity. That’s definitely a hyped subject matter regardless of your position on them.

There are a lot of other approved wishes with same or even more votes, frontier are not special in this aspect. Hyped models are something like Cathay 80th or Lufthansa 100th, frontier is absolutely not the same level

Those subjects I can understand having a lot of hype as they’re new subjects anyway. But when all the wishes of the same airline have double digit votes, and a handful are already approved, that tells me they have hype — arguably just as much as, if not more than, your two examples when you combine the wishes.

Looking at the Aeroclassics releases (did you know they’re on inferior moulds?) they often resell for three figures on eBay, clearly demonstrating significant demand. I’m not asking for a bunch to be made at once, something I could see GeminiStar doing 😆, but at least one or two would be nice. They can’t ignore the demand any longer, it’s about time they made one.

if you created 100 Frontier wishes and the same 15 people vote for each of them, this does not mean that you can combine these votes and say that Frontier has demand of 1500 people. lets look at average amount of votes and this number for Frontiers does not make it stand out of hundred other wishes. Dont get me wrong, I am not against a Frontier model release, I would like to get at least one of them, but objectively they are not hyped models globally
