They did say early 2023, and it is already 2 months into early 2023... Hopefully in the coming month or so

Well, at least they have the mould samples... which means the mould and liveries might be in final development and we will see something sooner or later. But I agree about asking them about more information. If I remember well, JC Wings have also shown an A310 sample but nothing came out of it

"Thanks for requesting, they are probably be released in this year"
That doesn't gove me any hope that we will see them anytime soon

Damn shame, I keep getting the impression they're getting sidetracked with other things like the 737 MAXs.

I kinda hope they do, because many folks would go ballistic if they just released the -8.

yeah i would prefer a -400 or -300, those are true 747s. the -8 is nice but it is as if they mutated a good looking 747 with an ugly 787

Heh, then the -400 was also not a "true" 747 since they tweaked the wings and slapped on bigger engines. Just like they did with the -8. Adding a graceful raked wingtip, quieter engines and lengthening the fuselage to match the EUD's proportions are all massive improvements in my eyes.

I remember asking them a few years back and their reply was that the A319 and the 767 were in the developing plans. Obviously the former has been released, so who knows what they're up to now...

Honestly I had some wrong info from theme and now I have lost a bit of trust in them….

While I can't think of a single 748i that I would like to spend money on at this time (needs to age a bit more) I have to say, it better be damn perfect after the ridiculously long wait since the first pictures surfaced.

I do hope this means we are a step closer to the real deal (741/2/3/4). The day that gets announced I'll throw a party.

Edit: I thought it was only a 748i sample, there is also a 748F. I might be more interested in some freighters, but still, the only thing that excites me about this news is the potential for a classics 74 series of molds within, say, 5 years, maybe?

Agreed, I'd be disappointed if the belly intakes were just printed on like for the SP. Hopefully NG continues what they've been doing with the 777 and moulds them in.
