This is epic, which one is your favorite?
The KLM, ANZ, Qantas and Aer Lingus are probably my top 4 liveries on a classic 747Favourite model…there’s far too many to mention! Still, here are a few of my top ‘grails. Barely scratches the surface though and actually can’t even decide on one favourite out of this bunch…yeah, got a bit carried away here I also make no apology for my bias leaning toward the classic 747, and the 70’s-80’s era!
Definitely in my top 4 as well. Iconic and unmistakeable classic schemes of the eraThe KLM, ANZ, Qantas and Aer Lingus are probably my top 4 liveries on a classic 747

Whoa that's really really cool! And imagine wearing a tie at that age, whoa!Hi Guys!
My absolute favorite is a model of my very first flight back in 1963. I was often sent to Iceland in summertime to visit relatives and families. June 1963 was first time to take a flight and it was on Loftleidir DC-6B TF-LLB. The other photo is upon arrival to Reykjavik (KEF was still a Nato base only). I'm the guy with the tie. I'm of course very happy that this model has been made and a BIG tanks to Andrew Klein.View attachment 4855View attachment 4856
I am especially fond of that Korean 747SP. Can't wait till NG makes a real 747 mould and makes a KAL on that!I initially got into this hobby to collect modern widebodies, so it's ironic that most of my favorites are classics.

...would be nice to have another -200 made with the ''K'' the same font size as the rest of the letters, here’s my BB400 “kOREAN AIR” HL7464I am especially fond of that Korean 747SP. Can't wait till NG makes a real 747 mould and makes a KAL on that!
Very beautiful! Such a lovely livery! My favorite is this North Central DC-9-50 by SMA, N772NC. Such a fascinating airline to me so of course I could not resist an opportunity to get this (albeit at a higher price than what I was willing to pay for it), and has proven valuable for my retro airport project. Excited to add more NC planes in the future.
Also had to update my pfp to reflect the Route of the Northliners. I love the design of it.
Yep, I'm personally hoping for 747-200 HL7463 (KAL's 1st 747) and 747-8 HL7636. Love me some 747s.I am especially fond of that Korean 747SP. Can't wait till NG makes a real 747 mould and makes a KAL on that!

Wow... That is a lovely picture, GJ did a superb job with this one!It is a wonderful piece of art. The GeminiJets 747-200 mold is superb, and that first version of the KLM blue top livery is beautiful; GJ got it right too. Here it is this morning:
That's beautiful! I'd wish someone had made a KLM 747-200SUD too, but alas that has never happened aside from the awful Big Bird mk2 and Netmodels versionsIt is a wonderful piece of art.
