Everyone's Favourite Livery

Singapore Airlines' livery is definitely one of my favourites. It's classy, yet modern. And it fits well on all of their aircraft.

KLM is also a favourite. I love their "Drop Nose" livery. And I appreciate how the company is still keeping the sky blue colour instead of going for the typical "bland modern" liveries. But it's the classic thick cheatline livery from the '90s holds a special place. Maybe it's the nostalgia in me 🤷‍♂️

Eurowhite was nice when it was first unveiled back in the 1970s/1980s because they stood out.
I bet it was cool to see a pure white Air France, SAS or even Transbrasil planes back in the day
It was! As a Xennial, I can ratify this 😂
It was revolutionary for the 1970s/80s - the Eurowhites, the Billboards - especially exciting to see those during my trips to FRA.

Lufthansa may be the biggest offender of this..
it adopted the Eurowhite much later than others - only in the 1980s!

See the remarkable minimal Indian Airlines livery from 1967 - I'm surprised it doesn't get more recognition - and for its creator - who was a contemporary of Vignelli & Saul Bass , considering its one of the earliest Eurowhites worldwide - from roughly the same time European carriers like UTA introduced it. Remained unchanged for almost 4 decades. Minimal by itself isn't isn't bad - it's the execution.

That's exactly how I see JAL, China Eastern, Finnair... there is no class, no effort, just a white tube and a name.
You can add Swiss and Air France to this lol - and of course now, Lufthansa & Iberia -
legacy carriers that perpetuate a blandness in their approach to Eurowhite (Qantas is also Eurowhite - but it's definitely not 'bland')
By this metric, Korean is fortunately not a Eurowhite wasteland.

And I think it's fair not to add carries like Mahan Air here - as they operate under severe sanctions - so justifiably they wish to reduce expenses.

I quite like the United Evo Blue livery. It has lots of character, and gives an older livery a modern yet unique feel. Other modern liveries are way to simple (Korean Airline’s new livery, and other simple modern liveries that have been popping up lately), but United made this refresh look much better than the original Unicon colors.
