NG Models Rewards Program

So I calculated how many points I 'lost' in the previous redemption cycle - with 6 of those 8 models listed this time as well - although with fewer points required.
235 - which is about 28pc of the total points I spent last time.
Which is quite sizable - and could have gotten me 3 more models in this round.

As a pretty large buyer of NG's, I have mixed feelings about this, as I also understand that the CRP program itself is a great way of honoring buyers too - although I must mention that by slashing redemption points required this time (up to 45 in one case), I am a bit befuddled. Did they realise belatedly that they erred the last time with their points system, leading to fewer redemptions, and thus a sign of reduced engagement (and thus bad for their business image)? We can only speculate.

Nonetheless, I did manage to redeem my points for 8 more models this time again - and overall, inspite of my misgivings on the above mentioned issue - I have no real complaints regarding the program itself.

The CRP is NG's unique way of giving back to its buyers - the collectorate - and it goes to show what other companies could have done much earlier, and why, for NG, the collectorate is still held with high regard, across the board.

Yes, NG's been slipping of late, and it has irked me as well and I hope, as much as many others do I am sure, that this will not go on for too long. There's no other large manufacturer in 1:400 that engages with the collectorate the way NG does, and with the extremely high average quality of their models - that hopefully means a win-win for all over the long term

Does anyone know if these older models come with CRP cards if done through the exchange mall? I've been told they have but I can't help but be skeptical about that.
So in my case last round, amongst the pre-CRP models, the Air Holland 757 did have the card, but the Korean 747sp didn't. I was debating whether I should write to them about this, I didn't though, after all.

Anyways what did everyone get from the exchange mall so far?
These are the ones I redeemed for:

Condor Blue A332
Condor Beige A332
RA-64530 Tu 214
Aerogal Heritage A320neo
Lovehansa A320neo
Condor Green A332
Fanhansa Diversity A333
Tarom YR-TPB anti-glare

All were, in fact, on my wishlists on stores but lower on purchase priority, so I'm really glad to have gotten these through the CRP.

So it's basically just a 50/50 chance, but assume a card won't come with it, alright.

Seems like good choices👍.

What is the idea of using 1 point to reserve a model? What am I reserving it for? To buy or exchange?

Even I didn't understand this.
Does it mean they'll send this to your preferred retailer - just like they did for the CRP exclusives previously?

To note - upon pressing the 'Reserve' tab - nothing opens - so it's quite confusing

(I'm on a Meta-break, so unaware of any social media posts on this, if any)

I messaged them on IG to ask. "This is a new feature, before the purchase, if you make a reservation, you can get an extra reward of 20%-30% when accumulating points. But this module is not perfect enough, we will continue to upgrade next week."

Really annoying they don't have a search function, now you have to scroll through 400 models one by one. So far the only one I'm interested in is the Aeroflot TU-154 CCCP-85000, but for now I'm not bothering with this system, don't trust any purchase without seeing the piece I'm buying first.

Not sure exactly what you imply, but if it offers any sense of assurance, all the 8 CRP models from the previous round came in shrink-wrapped boxes, clearly tagged and labelled - evidence of the systematic machinery involved in ensuring they reach their rightful owner. None had any defects whatsoever.

True
Essentially this should reward pre-orders, if I understand this correctly
But that would mean uploading requisite documentation (invoice screenshots, for instance - an easier way for the collector to register a pre-order - but needing manual oversight from their end that is gonna be quite a task, or a system of codes - a tricky option imo)

The original round of CRP only opened to those "old, dead stock", for which I only exchanged for old models which I could not have access to or old but costly. For this round, they opened to models which are 7-month old and I am glad I snatched one of them. My criteria when I get CRP changed in this round a bit since I have saved a sizable amount of points. This time, however, I used all of them for the exchange, to redeem those new models which I hoped it would not "sold-out" but they did. My choice from this round includes:
- 2 Airbuses: Four Seasons A321neo and HKexpress A320. I know I could exchange for the HKExpress A321neo for the same point but I preferred the A320 due to its uniqueness (and I have not got any A320 NG btw).
- 2 Boeings: Korean Air B737-900 (I only got 737-900ER before - this choice was advised by Tung) and Ethiopian B757-200 to go along with the cargo version I already got.
- 2 Tupolevs (these are the ones that were sold out in Asia); Rossiya Tu-214 with special equipments

I still wish to have more points so that I could exchange for more models. I find the scheme to be somewhat not bad at all. I don't know whether the web browser on my phone got any problem, but for each model I exchanged, I need to scroll from the beginning of the page again, which really annoys me.

General question but I noticed there's a little cancel button when one goes to check their order status, if someone canceled their CRP model, what exactly would that entail? Would you get a total refund of points or would it just cancel the order in general?

I have just tried and yeah it was quick and smooth: all points will be returned to your account right away after you hit the button. Then you can use the newly-returned points to exchange for a model that is still available in stock.

NG is really is making it very easy for the collectors to swap to their preferred choice during the exchange. But the later you exchange, the lower chance you would get the model you wanted. It is a fair trade-off.

Ive noticed the exchange is down and does not want to load any models, does anyone else have this issue?
I am still able to access the Exchange which would lasts for another day. I’m using Safari on my phone, though. You might wanna change your browser on your phone.
