Gj has used this tactic way more, but ok.Announced only in response to GJ’s announcement. Classic NG move. Still no originality.

It’s just funny that they announce their version followed by a post encouraging collectors to participate in the voting system, as if this release had been in response to votes. They’re gaslighting everyone now. They haven’t taken the voting system seriously in ages.Everyone with a 752 mould is going to announce TF-FIC - it's a no-brainer.
IF200 has had it on pre-order since quite a few days - literally before the real thing even flew LOL!!
So yeah neither GJ nor NG are the first to announce it in any scale, so let's cut the one-upmanship BS LOL.

Thank you.
Thank you.
That is my qualm with NG. Of course, other brands like GJ pull the same tactic of announcing releases in response to competition @swagninja84 however NG takes it to the next level with their gaslighting. Are we supposed to clap for them like muppets and pretend that they are listening to collectors with this latest release? If anything, their gaslighting further highlights their lack of genuine care towards the constructive feedback voiced by collectors for months.
Let’s hope so. At the end of the day we are all cheering for NG to return to common sense. As @miaoyimiaozhongl was mentioning in an earlier post in this thread I think - many collectors in China also have similar complaints with NG - and no doubt this is a genuine concern
Let's see how things pan out - the recent criticism did alter their release announcements for June. Perhaps an indication of a positive shift? Fingers crossed
It’s worth asking: why does every objective critique of NG seem to spiral into a debate about GJ? Is it possible that brand loyalty or bias is influencing the conversation, consciously or not?

I don't have an opinion about this Pan Am 757, but once again we are all reading the tea leaves when they talk. On the one hand getting upset by the gaslighting when it is just the same sort of happy clappy marketing talk we always hear from Chinese brands (especially when written by non-English speakers) and on the other we are saying they altered the June announcements after criticism. They may have but we have no actual proof they did. They regularly recently have modified releases after the hints. Could have just been that.Let's see how things pan out - the recent criticism did alter their release announcements for June. Perhaps an indication of a positive shift? Fingers crossed

I think we all need to stop reading so much into what NG say. It just upsets people now or down the road when what they have read into it doesn't happen.
The only thing upsetting people is their tone-deaf defiance towards constructive criticism. What people are reading into are the theories that might explain this behavior. Should the theory that their management changed hands be wrong, why would people be upset about that? It doesn't change the fact that they are ignoring collectors. THAT is what upsets people.I think we all need to stop reading so much into what NG say. It just upsets people now or down the road when what they have read into it doesn't happen.
I can't speak for you, but I read that post perfectly fine in English. There's also the fact that they posted their invitation to participate in the CRP voting system alongside a screenshot of the TF-FIC release with the voting backdrop. With a little bit of reflection, a conclusion can easily be made that they are using the TF-FIC release to promote their voting system. What more proof do you need? It's no different than Nike using an athlete's image to promote their apparel or Gatorade doing the same for their products.
They literally did the same last month. Also, it may be speculation that their additional add-on releases were in response to the massive backlash towards their B and N releases, but how often does NG create add-on releases after their original announcement? It's really not that often. If anything, they do add-ons to reflect changes to an original release such as a different registration number or sticker, but rarely do they add entirely new models unless it's some kind of response to a competitor. Then add the fact that these add-on releases were not B or N regs...

1) So if they only get 50 votes, they'll only make 50 copies of the model?View attachment 46233
Oh c'mon if you are an English speaker then why are you unable to understand English sentences? The whole tone of their post is exactly what I said it was. They are happy to bring you, our excellent moulds - happy clappy nonsense.
The bit about wishes literally says: 'welcome you to join the wishes to help us make the right production quantities'
So they are not gaslighting you at all but asking people to use votes on the wishes for these two models to help them understand how many units to make. Once again it may be poorly explained but that is what they are saying.
Instead all it has done is enrage you because you think they are gaslighting you (seriously who uses that term about model aircraft). All you have done is prove 100% what I said. Stop reading into every word they say and making your own meaning out of it!
They literally did the same last month.
They are doing exactly what every other brand does, but more constructively. If anything their mistake has been to waste their time engaging with collectors who think they are entitled to what they ask for just like the comment about the Frontiers Connor makes in the image you published.
Who knows I'm just telling you what the sentence says.1) So if they only get 50 votes, they'll only make 50 copies of the model?
Gaslighting is defined as 'manipulate (someone) using psychological methods into questioning their own sanity or powers of reasoning.' It is usually or historically aimed towards emotional or physical abusers in relationships. Not sure that it is appropriate for model airliners.2) Who said I am enraged? Are you gaslighting me? Since I last checked that term wasn't banned from the English dictionary.
3) If engaging collectors who think they are entitled to what they ask for is a mistake, then why have the voting system in place? They developed it to cater to their collectors. The problem is that they have only released a tiny fraction of the models that were upvoted. The fact that you're calling out Connor (CMAviation) as one of those entitled people that NG shouldn't engage with, just shows how disconnected you are with the collecting community and their feedback.
So one lucky kid from Asia's parents buy him a ton of models. That's great. There are many collectors in North America and Europe that also collect models too. Also the tiny number of very engaged collectors on forums and facebook groups should perhaps take a moment to reflect and understand they don't necessarily represent the collectorate as a whole (anymore than I do). After all look at this post from MyHobbyhouse the other day. Does he look like he's being 'ignored' and has got 'concerns'?
Arguably this is who NG is making models for. The millions of young affluent Asians.

I don't know what NG are doing, but if I were them I wouldn't making any US models at the moment at all given the tariff situation. I find what they do very frustrating (but no matter how many times I criticise NG all I'm told is I'm deflecting or apologising) but I'm not so self-absorbed as to think it is all about me and what I want. Also it makes perfect sense to look at what they do do in relation to the entire scale and so comparing NG to their biggest competitor, who isn't doing ANY of the things NG is doing, is both sensible and logical.
Lastly @ghqv2988 I don't know anything about you, but your style in this entire thread has been:
a) make an emotional comment
b) get upset when someone suggests your comment isn't accurate
c) rather than talk about the comment made about your post, attack the person making it - accusing them of making insinuations about your collecting, brand loyalty, bias, gaslighting etc
d) selectively not answer what the other person said - then start back at a again
NG is making people question the validity of their concerns with that post, a post which would make it seem as if that they have been listening and entertaining people's feedback. Why does that term kill the convo? Is it making you enraged or something?Who knows I'm just telling you what the sentence says.
Gaslighting is defined as 'manipulate (someone) using psychological methods into questioning their own sanity or powers of reasoning.' It is usually or historically aimed towards emotional or physical abusers in relationships. Not sure that it is appropriate for model airliners.
Also it is a term that has only come into common usage in the 2010s and is the sort of loaded term that you can throw at someone which immediately kills a conversation. It's like calling someone a racist or sexist.
And you do seem rather enraged.
Once again I can't speak for NG but I would argue that the reason the wish system exists at all is because they were tired of engaging with collectors on forums, bombarded by wishlists and emails and wanted to have a fairer and easier way to communicate with a larger number of people.
We are all entitled. Connor is entitled to his opinions but the way he makes that comment and expects them to respond or listen is by its definition entitled.
You understand NG don't work for you or have to do anything you say? They will release the models they want when they want to, no doubt based off of the sales data and production issues they have. Also it does take 6-8 months to get a model out most of the time and how long has the wish system been active now?
Yes but as I have said and backed up with evidence European models don't seem to sell well and the Us voted in someone who has put massive tariffs on everything coming from China. Meanwhile there are billions of Asians in that market and probably twice as many buying 400 scale models as in the rest of the world. So one lucky kid from Asia's parents buy him a ton of models. That's great. There are many collectors in North America and Europe that also collect models too.
Can you show me my emotional GJ criticism that isn't literally just my actual opinion or a fact.My comments towards NG are no more emotional than your criticism towards GJ.
Err I'd check the likes if I were you.The only people suggesting my comments aren't accurate are you and Swagninja.
For one you still have failed to answer my response that it is both fair and reasonable to compare NG to their main competitor.I'm not attacking you any less than you've attacked other collectors like JJ Skippy and now Connor. What did I selectively not answer? There are so many comments in this thread and I'm not a moderator so I may accidentally skip a post.
Your style is this:
a) Note a comment about NG
b) Come to the defense of NG by criticizing GJ
c) Reluctantly agree with some of the comments about NG but still excuse them to do whatever they want without any real constructive criticism
Then Swagninja, who doesn't comment often, never fails to appear and comment after you, echoing an identical sentiment and opinion.
I don't know I'm not NG but i can think of several good reasons although it surprises me they can finance itIf it's so difficult to release consistent European models because they don't sell well, why give away free models?
Do they sit on the shelf. Have you got sales stats or are you just making this sentence up?Why make 2 more re-releases of the same model that's still on the shelf?
Because Aeroclassics makes production runs of 100 units and the models are made for the personal whim of the brand owner. That's why!Why does Aeroclassics bother with African models? There's no way (no offense) the collecting community in Africa compares to that of Europe.
