How do you display your collection?

I finally have some shelves to store models on! At the bottom is my retro collection, in the middle is my Asian and Cargo collection, the upper shelf has some various models and some US narrow bodies, and at the very back we have United and Delta. Thought it would be cool to display my boxes, so that’s what I’ve done, with my rarest/favorite models facing outwards.

Looking cool! Be careful with dust or unwanted attacks (cats, maids, kids, etc) 🥴

I’m lucky enough to have a basement, so the last three shouldn’t be a problem. I’ve always displayed my collection on the model airport itself, so dust has always been a problem. But fortunately I have a great method to clean off my models (I use little wipes).

Looks great, but I'd be careful with that window! Don't want yellowing to occur

My cats are the reason I have to take my whole airport layout apart after setting it out...

I too struggle. I set up my dioramas and leave them in a closed off guest room till I can get my photos done🤣 then everything gets packed back away in boxes, bags for GSE, board get sleeved in foam and stored stacked to the side. It’s a rough life with them sometimes... Once you tell them you don’t want them on there they just want it MORE lol

I bought two of these displays off Amazon a few months back once we moved, and have them in my office. I also bought acrylic risers for each shelf to be able to display more models.

Here is the link on amazon if anyone is curious:

I did buy the mirror version, but when assembling, found the mirror to be a little aggressive. But the backside is a matte black that I think makes the models 'pop' more.

And this is the link for the acrylic risers I put on each shelf as well:

I may need to check out those acrylic risers... I have a stacked set up through Scobo Design if you're unfamiliar I highly recommend you check them out. Curious if you could provide close ups of the risers? Want to see how I could incorporate this into mine to maximize space.
