Are Diecast plane liveries hand painted on to the model or printed on always been interested how it works?
My guess is that they are printed on since I am not sure how a human would be able to draw the tiny details we have on these nice little models. Are Diecast plane liveries hand painted on to the model or printed on always been interested how it works?
Thanks I checked out very coolI came across a couple videos online that showed the entire process but can't seem to find them anymore. This video from Herpa shows the general production process though: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gGurSXIUNqE
Which model was it would be great to check outThe first Aeroclassics were made with decals, very cool to have.
I got a klm dc 9 with the screw! Those Gen One Aeroclassics are super fascinating, with the screw in the belly and some of the decaled ones too. I would love to find one.
I have a couple, found them at model fairs. They show up from time to time. I have a US Air BAC 1-11 and a Continental Baby 9, among the first of these to be pad-printed when AC moved to China in 2001. These early ‘spun cast’ moulds were made in England I believe, when AC first started. Those Gen One Aeroclassics are super fascinating, with the screw in the belly and some of the decaled ones too.
