Aeroclassics September 2024 releases

Yes, the gray is way too dark..the red drops too low..should end just above the bottom of the upper deck door, the red also looks too dark as well.

That's insane! Elsewhere, AC 747s are priced as much as NG's and JC's - which is insane too TBH
Well you don't live in Australia, where we have excessive import duties on items, high taxation, inflation, and rediculous high freight costs which cause model prices to blow out. Be thankful you get the prices you do.

Aeroclassis is absolutely not able to find the correct colors. The last three models I have got from them are totally wrong.
I would love to own the United 732, but almost 60 USD here in Europe is too mach for an AC model.

The Grass is always Greener..... 😅😅😅

I read in Aus the Import Duty is 10%?

Yeah, something like that. Between 5 and 10%.

The problem is that because we’re so isolated, actually sending something here costs more.
Freight charge s higher, you say, and are those charges included in the 'total landed cost' on the basis of which Total Import Duty is calculated?

To put into perspective why I ask this,
On average, Courier charges to India are expensive.

On US stores , for instance, freight charges (by Post) begin around 30-40 USD (based on which store and where) and across the pond in Europe, freight begins at 18Eu (for Post) and 38Eu (for Private Courier).
Thus, it only makes sense to buy 3 or 4 Models (minimum) so that the freight charges become 25pc or less.

Now, here, 'total landed cost' is computed (which includes freight) , to calculate the duty amount - which, hold your breath, varies from 48-78pc of the total landed cost.
Thus, by the time the model reaches in hand, you've actually paid around TWICE the list price on the website you bought it on.

Yeah these are way off, they arguably look like different planes
Geez the grey in the middle alone is deal breaker to me, let alone those BOLD FONTS... I wonder how on earth Andrew and his team accept such color choice as the issue is bloody obvious if they bother to look up the internet for reference pictures - the colors on the NW "bowling shoe" DC-9 in previous release also look horrid though so I guess they don't care on the first place🙈🙈🙈
Lucky I get an Dragon copy on my side...

Talk about Air NZ 744 - My local retailer said they ain't expecting orders as PH has released the EXACT SAME aircraft not long ago...(2 yrs?) And they are surprised that I ordered them...

And about pricing I found AC in general has been one of the most expensive brands that I have spent on in terms of average price - a 747 could cost me HKD500+ (64USD+) when PH charges ~HKD450 and JC ~HKD350, secondhand DW ~200HKD
For such price I probably could buy an JC/BB equivalent and get a decent meal at a restaurant with a few pennies to spare...

Because historical they've butchered models and people always buy them anyway. Why work harder and spend more money at the factory if he doesn't have to?

Some images off AvMgS
Curious to know now how they'd be 'in hand'

The ANZ colors look darker on that picture than it really is, pretty close and acceptable for me. The ANZ flag should be mirrored on the other side, but the cockpit windows look great though. Unfortunately the price is way too high here in Europe for the amount of detailling it has, otherwise I would have bought it. I really hope NG can fix their 747 cockpit windows as otherwise the entire model looks off.
