Yu ModeL New Airbus A300 First Look

But removing the coroguard on the outer surfaces would be an easy fix. A soft rubber und acetone will do the trick.
I don't see how this would work without looking botched up. I mean, you'd need to precisely mask off the corogard to work out the low speed aileron's edges.
If the rest of the model would be great, I'd probably try that fix.

Precisely! After masking it off I would first start with the soft rubber so that fewer acetone is needed, which sometimes tends to affect masked off areas.

Yes, it's that minor difference that kills it. I mean, you don't print "corogard" on a control surface. That's a 100% no-no.
I accept Yu making a "one mould fits both" product, but this is ignoring the key vissual difference between a "classic" and a "600".

I see what you are saying. Where are the low-speed ailerons on the -600 then?

Nevermind, it's a great time to be alive.

The more you know...

The E-175 only had outboard ailerons, and spoilers were also used for roll. The 763 is an antique, even when compared with the A300-600, so it's got both...

the color does seem to be consistently more darker than it was irl, so yes you are correct

Here’s a comparison between YU’s LH A300 and YY’s LH 747-8 in the same cheatline livery.

Although the one on the 747-8 is a retro livery, the colour on this 748 in real life should reflect what was actually painted on Lufthansa aircraft back in the day.

In real life yes, unless LH messed up. D-ABYT resembles a mid 70's 747 and that D-AIAA's timeframe as well.
But I wouldn't trust the colors on the YY or take them as reference. They appear to be "80's" as per the usual error made on LH models of the late 60's to late 70's.
