What European 737-700/800s Would You Like To Get Made?

Hi All. A quick bit of market research. I have been asked by someone to think about what European 737-700/800s could or should be made / remade. They are considering getting some produced. I have easily come up with 7 decent examples myself representing schemes from the late 90s / early 2000s but I'm struggling more with recent or extant liveries, which seem quite well covered. What would you think would make sense?

Things to consider might be:
  • These need to be series 700s or 800s
  • They have to be existing or defunct European Airlines
  • No Russians, but Turkey is ok
  • Has it been made at all in 400 scale?
  • If it has been made already how long ago was that?
  • If it has been made already was is it on a good mould?
  • Is it likely to sell at least 150-200 units?

I know this is a bit wishlisty but I've put it here because I want it to get maximum visibility. Please include photos with your suggestions. If you can come up with some decent options I'll forward them on to the requestor.

I am still surprised we have never got a Luxair 737 NG! Either a -700 or a -800 would be amazing (personally would love an -800 with split scimitars). Phoenix did a MAX-8 in 2023 and 2024, but no NG. I think it's a popular enough airline that could sell well, they also have very nice special liveries which could be made too.

Then, there's also Albastar, never done before, but it might be a little too niche...

I would like to see Jettime made on their older brown-ish livery, but this may be slightly obscure. Subsidiary Jettime Finland has the title of being the only carrier to register 737s in Finland (2!)

More Norwegian examples would be appreciated, across their subsidiaries (present and former). I have pictured one operated by Norwegian Air Sweden (SE- reg, could be EI-,LN-). There is decent fleet variety here due to the differing tail heroes and designs, white tails for example.

That's what I have off the top of my head. If I come up with more I will post them here as well.

Good catch! Also the albastar will be great to have it! I have totally forgot about it

A few I’d like to see:
Jet2 Sliver/Red and Holidays liveries with the split scimitar winglets, these will be extremely popular with the UK collectors!

Norwegian Air, I think the last one was released a 4-5 years ago by NG. It would be very nice to see a few of these made with the Swedish and Norweigan registrations and different tail designs!

Turkish Airlines, the last release was over 10 years ago by Phoenix I believe!

Ryanair UK, Polish and Maltese reg -800’s with split scimitar winglets. These will sell like hotcakes! NG released an Irish reg EI-DLY around 2 years ago however the other subsidiaries are yet to be released.

I suspect you will be interested in these two then announced recently. They are supposed to be exclusives for Aviation Retail Direct but I can't see them on their website now?

Because of these two I'm thinking no Jet2 or Ryanair

I have noticed those two releases. I would say the Jet2 standard silver/red livery needs to be released, the Jet2 Holidays livery and Ryanair’s can be left out with C Model releasing them!

Have you got a reg? I note NG made 3 in 2019 and GJ one in 2020, but you're right it'd probably sell. Do any of theirs have scimitars?

EDIT - sorry I see the photo you provided was G-JZDG and it has scimitars

I second the Turkish Airlines, Phoenix and Witty have made both schemes but they are either hard to find or not on the best mould.

Both schemes could be redone in all honesty, it could help with splitting the production runs lower if there's skepticism about how well a large batch would sell.
