JC's new Air India 744 arrived, and like the airline, a little late. After the glare from the chrome wore off, I was able to get a good look at her. Although not a perfect mould, and considering NG's recent announcement it may soon be obsolete. That being said, what a stunner. Great printing and vibrant colours - a welcome addition to the fleet. Here she is heading to a stand in front of the international terminal.

My first NG exclusive, Garuda A330-300 PK-GPU. These Wonderful Indonesia stickers were common back when I lived there, so it's nice to finally get a model of one.

As a sidenote, looks like mine's #42 out of 120.

It has been quite a while since I got new models. Today I would like to introduce 3 aircraft that are operated by the Russian Air Force. Closest to the furthest on the starboard side reveals:
- Tu-154B-2 RA-85565 by NGModels. The model had a minor paint scratch on the joint between the vertical and port horizontal stab and came without a card. But for a reduced price it is a no brainer! I was thinking of getting this one later but the price held me from following my plan.

- Rossiya - Special Flight Squadron Tupolev Tu-214SUS RA-64522 by PandaModels. PM really captured well the canoe-shaped comms. A model I was reluctant to get at first but seeing it disappeared from literally all shops I had to act quick to grab one.

- Sistership to 64522 - FSB - Federal Security Service Tupolev Tu-214VPU RA-64523 by PandaModels. The blue cheatline is so classy! I intended to get it from another shop to have combined shipping and discount but they ran out of stock. At a result it came from the same shop as its sistership - really sistership!

From above! A slight variation of the Rossiya scheme between NG and PM.

Also came in this package is a set of Herpa 1:500 light poles! That's all for today, I hope you enjoy the photos!

Yes, they had the diecast store collocated with their Lego store, but they just recently acquired a new local and are going to run two stores. One for Lego, and one for diecast model airplanes. As I understand most of his business is through the physical store, online is just gravy. We need more brick-and-mortar stores!
And I must add god I miss these experiences buying from an actual store where you can take a look at the aircraft and chat with people, so much more efficient than ordering online, even if it's about an hour drive in my case.
