RM Model Store going out of business or it's another scam?

Got this email from RM:



Are these guys for real? Aren't they the one who been reported by many collectors that they are scammer bcuz collectors placed orders and didn't receive anything?

I am in a separate online community with the person behind RM, and he has said today that Takeoff Models is a "failed restart" of the store. The blowout sale held at RM currently is allegedly genuine, and once all stock is sold RM will close.

Again, all is alleged and it may not be safe still to order from the store despite the assurances I've seen today.

Placed an order because the price was too good to test the waters. They did end up shipping it next business day so let's see. Last time I had an issue with them, the model did end up arriving. Seems like the logistics behind it was just messy and pushed aside in the day to day life of whoever was running it, but their warehouse does have the models they list.
