NG Models May 2023 Release Hint

Last in fleet would be N514PA.

I would love to finally get my hands on a Pan Am L1011-500 by NG (why I missed on N510PA). However, I hope we are talking about the first in fleet N504PA (which thankfully matches the hint) instead of N514PA. The latter was released by Dragon Wings. Sure, it is worthy of being re-released considering how old the DW version is, but I personally, would much rather see N504PA "Clipper National Eagle" which was the first L1011 to enter service with Pan Am (JFK-CCS on May 1, 1980 :D) as this one was released by Blue Box. Though, old, the DW L1011-500 is an objectively accurate mold (within the limitations of the time), while the Blue Box is essentially a fantasy model with that wing-box fairing that belongs on a different type (hence more worthy of a re-release)

Here are my Predictions:

Boeing 737
  • WestJet Boeing 737 MAX 8: C-GIWJ
  • Copa Airlines Boeing 737-800: HP-1834CMP
  • Air China Boeing 737-800: B-5442
  • Air China Boeing 737-800 (Star Alliance Livery): B-5425
  • Ryanair Boeing 737-800 (Blended Winglets): EI-EVK
Boeing 777
  • British Airways Boeing 777-300ER: G-STBI
  • Garuda Indonesia Boeing 777-300ER (Retro Livery): PK-GIK; or
    • Garuda Indonesia Boeing 777-300ER (Skyteam Livery) PK-GIi
Airbus A320
  • Jetstar Airbus A320 (10th Anniversary Livery): VH-VGF
Airbus A321
  • Air Canada Airbus A321: C-GJWN
  • Frontier Airlines Airbus A321
    • Candidates List:
      • Max the Lynx
      • Steve the Eagle
      • Virginia the Wolf
      • Otto the Owl
      • Courtney the Cougar
      • Joe Bob the Badger
Airbus A330
  • Aerolíneas Argentinas Airbus A330-200 (Argentina National Football Team Livery): LV-FVH
  • Hainan Airlines Airbus A330-300: B-1022
  • Shenzhen Airlines Airbus A330-300: B-303N
Airbus A350
  • Starlux Airlines Airbus A350-900: B-58501
Lockheed L-1011 Tristar
  • Pan Am Lockheed L-1011: N504PA

N504PA would be a dream! That observation deck was my favorite place on earth!

NG originally said the first 748 would be announced in May, so it certainly looks like they're taking some time to improve it.
Hopefully this will mean that it is top notch and we can finally see some truly good quality releases. Phoenix is trying to flood the market with their versions now because they know NGs is coming. I'd bet that once NG drops theirs, people will be selling off the phoenix ones all around.

Yep, it's tempting to get the PHs but we're pretty damn close to getting top-notch 747. Just a little more patience...

Garuda 77W is the new Korean 739, it seems. If only those two dynamics were reversed and they made a truckload of KE 77Ws...

Looks like just one for me this month. Hope to see a Frontier A320/A321 and Aerolíneas Argentinas A332 in the standard colors next month.

Can someone explain the Pan am livery! What year and or why did this one have a white nose cone instead of black?

Thanks for list. Might pass on this release. Annoyed it is a Shenzhen A330. Was hoping for a Sichuan one...

Wow, I am actually very happy with this set. I will definitely pick up the Ryanair as it would be rude not to 😉 and might even pick up the air transat and the BA as they both look very good. Hoping that we might see a Ryanair UK 737 at some point aswell as possibly another 737 without scimitars.

I'm curious, I wonder why NG has never released a hainan a330? They have made the 788 and the 737 but no a330s so far. Would love to pick one up 😀😀
