NG April 2025 Hints

I took a closer look into the history of A350 MSN 720 (N527DN), and I agree with others that it must have been a mishap by NG to use the old winglets.

According to a photo on Planespotters, the frame was seen unpainted on November 29, 2024: https://www.planespotters.net/photo/1685409/f-wznk-delta-air-lines-airbus-a350-941. No one knew about what the special livery would look like around that time, and NG might be no exception. However, around the same time, NG produced several A350s with the new winglets, such as the Delta Olympic liveries, Air France, and Emirates. So there must have been some mixups with their production.

Great analysis. It is certainly odd

I just noticed on B-HNK (spirit of HK), the light blue band from nose to tail doesn’t seem to have the intricate design the real one carried. It’s just a solid band like the normal livery, maybe it’s the lighting but if NG really missed that, that would be a sorry mistake.

...and it's not even a light blue.
Like I said earlier, someone (important) seems to be missing from NG's production facillity.

I can see it, subtle, but there.

NG photo-edits the official release photos way too much - so it's difficult to ascertain the exact colours most of the time.
I don't see this. They seem to adjust saturation, contrast and highlights/shadows but that happens on the entire picture. Altering certain areas would happen on purpose.

My NG Cathay 351 shows the same issue btw.

What are you referring to specifically?
ChairFlyer101 mentioned the band on the fuselage and I added that it's the wrong color as per the picture (as in not matching the nacelles). I see this is the case on all new colors Cathays done by NG. Wonder why nobody ever mentioned it. Unless I missed it of course.

I have been seeing the latest NG releases starting to pop up as in-stock items at some retailers / some retailers are getting their stock in this week. Did these clear customs before the tariffs went into effect in the U.S. or are theses retailers finding work arounds? It was my understanding we wouldn't be seeing these in the U.S. until this whole issue cleared up.

My order shipped on the 6th, and the tRUMP tax was theoretically supposed to hit on the 5th. I believe @squatchys_diecast_hangar said that this set MIGHT get held up at customs.
