New Gemini Jets Releases Expected Tomorrow

Gemini Jets has confirmed the announcement of the upcoming February/March 2023 releases in a story post on their Instagram Tuesday afternoon.

The 25-year-old diecast model airplane manufacturer will announce their second release set of 2023 tomorrow at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time / 12:00 p.m. Pacific Time, according to the story post which contains a countdown timer.

The release will be a combined set for the months of February and March, likely caused by the Lunar New Year holiday.

No details are available as to what the new releases will contain. The future preview section on Gemini Jets’ website has not changed.

I definitely anticipate an EK release, but then again it’s because of the licensing agreement. Nothing we can do to control those models, heck Gemini can’t do anything about it. Besides, it makes them some dough so why should they do anything?

Retro stuff will appear again, perhaps one or two entries. Maybe another Electra?

Some European and/or Oceanic variety to please those collectors, we’ll see what they decide or if they do both.

US stuff is abundant as usual. Again, it’s to be expected, but since that’s the market GJ caters to most, it makes sense they do so many US models. It’s not necessarily they ”hate” anything outside the States, it’s a matter of what will sell well in their eyes, and perhaps what the airlines have ordered, too.

For Asian/European collectors there's JC Wings which is literally a carbon copy of GJ if not better. They use the same or better moulds and even add the bottom antennas.

Yep, so do I. Too bad that NG have also confirmed they will be releasing a QF A333 as well, and I believe they will also be the same registrations. So it will most likely be NG who gets my money.

In a few email conversations I've had with them in the past 6-8 months. There are quite a few other releases that have been confirmed for this year, see this thread for more.

If GJ both of these 2 I will be broke;
- SilkWay Cargo 747-400 Interactive (JC announced the hybrid - I would guess same pattern as National 747s)
