New 200 Scale Sample from NG Models Incoming

I've been informed today by NG Models that there is a package incoming to the yesterdaysairlines.com hangar containing a new 200 scale sample, so keep an eye out for that in the next few weeks. The only clues I'll give are it is larger than a CRJ and less obscure than the AG600M

727-100/200!!! I don't own any 1:200 MD-80 in 1:200, but doesn't GJ has a good mold? I do know I'd get more larger scale 727s if there was a better alternative to IF200... On second thought, I hope is not a 727...

I've heard it's larger than a CRJ, a twinjet, and not a 737. Although MD-80 seems to be the safest bet, I think an A300 is also a possibility. There were rumors NG was working on an A300 mould, and there's very little competition for that type in 1:200.

Given what we know, and the pattern of 1:200 moulds by NG. im guessing in these 5
1.Airbus A220-100/300
2.B757-200
3.A330-300/200
4.Mitsubishi Spacejet
5.Embraer E-Jet Family

Where did you get that info from?

Based on what I’ve heard, I think it is going to be the E-2 family

Off the top of my head I don't really see the E2 to be a profitable choice. Aside from the fact that there aren't any E2 moulds in 200 scale (well there's Herpa but they rarely use it), the small number of operators make it a very niche mould. The first gen EJets on the other hand, while the GJ counterpart is pretty decent, we have a wide variety of operators which fits NG's release style better.

Still, anything is less obscure than the AG600M and NG had occasionally launched these niche moulds before so I suppose it's not completely out of the question. I'd still prefer to see the original E175 although the E2 would look cool as well.
