Model teaser from HX model, partially physical.

If @YesterAirlines hadn't shared the two images, I frankly wouldn't have realised what @Phantom was referring to. I understand the OCD challenges of someone who designs and makes.
Hehe. I guess the more you look closely, the more you know, and the burden of what you accept and let go of also changes
Hehe little philosophical perhaps but yeah.

For me the HX FDs are of interest. That's when the 747s look most majestic, and I can overlook the lack of the Sutter wing twist in 1:400. Besides I still feel something's off with the front section.
Nonetheless, Hopefully the pricing is right so I'll pick up a few FDs. .
Unfortunately, with the PT branding, the prices go haywire

the “sutter wing twist “ is quite obvious for this mould I think

Oh I see what you mean, forgive my oversight. This is a really serious problem, but the guy who approached hx to customize the JAL is supposedly going to release six 747s with distinct registration numbers, so hopefully it will improve after that.
No problem.
While typing 8102 above I remembered this amazing image and actually found it again online (flyteam.jp)
960x960.jpg

It shows (almost) full 1980's colors: the satcom was long gone, corogarded white stabs, the wings and belly repainted into what is likely "light aircraft grey"/"Boeing aircraft grey"/BAC707... - the standard grey on almost all model 747s (incl. the HX/SQ..).
This grey however was a truly rare sight and non-standard on classic 747s - including JAL until mid 80's. What makes this image so interesting is that this airframe still wears Boeings original "standard" grey for 747s on the flaps. A color I've last seen replicated on the good old DW/JX 747 releases.

I'd have been surprised if not as SQ/HX/.... obviousely go through the same hands, consequently sharing the same master/CAD.
The wing joint however isn't the biggest problem for my eyes. There are so many things that are off on these HX like the upper deck, but particularly the aft fuselage and v.tail keep me from buying any.
I bet that's more due to the guy who take this (and the guy who customized this from HX), Daodao Models on Taobao. BTW he's also a major dealer of ex JAL magazine/now JetHut models too, which could also explained why he will customized this.

But, I mean, you know you really need to improved your photo shooting skill when you somehow managed to let a HX 747 mould looked like PH...🤦‍♂️
