Critical Aviator 1/400 collection

How many AF B77Ws do you have? Every single release ever???
Out of the twenty four Air France 777-300ERs ever made in 400 scale, I have eleven. I have one from Hogan, two from GeminiJets, two from Phoenix, all six NG releases and I plan to get the new Aviation400 one. I also have three in both 500 scale and 200 scale (two snap fit models and one die cast model). So in total, I have seventeen AF B77Ws, in three different scales, in my collection.

That’s some next level dedication.

Beautiful love for Air France B777-300ER! Is there a special reason?

Beautiful love for Air France B777-300ER! Is there a special reason?
Thanks ! The reasons for my Air France 777-300ER love are:
- I love the 777 (its my favourite Boeing aircraft, followed very closely by the 747) and Air France
- The Air France 777-300ER is part of the French aviation culture, beloved by a lot of people.
- Currently, the 777-300ER is the flagship of the Air France fleet, the backbone of the AF long haul fleet, although the A350-900 is catching up. And the only aircraft in the AF fleet to have a first class cabin. It also flies to a lot of popular destinations.
- When AF was still operating long haul flights from Orly, whenever I went to Orly in recent years, the AF 777-300ER was a highlight alongside the Corsair 747-400. I live in an area where Boeing widebodies aren’t a common sight. Not only that, but I always used to see 2 or 3 AF 777-300ERs at ORY (it wasn’t the case in my last trip there with AF, I only saw a single one) and to me they were eye-catchers every single time.
- When I used to flight sim a lot (more than I do nowadays), I often flew AF 777-300ER routes because the 777-300ER was often the aircraft Air France used on those flights.

Unfortunately, I never had the opportunity to fly on one, most of my flights were between TLS and ORY so there were no chance on getting a 777-300ER. For that, I would have to fly long haul on Air France, which is something I would love to do but I never had the opportunity to as of today. But I agree it is a beautiful and iconic aircraft !

I hope that one day you will get the chance to fly on the 77W, with these huge GE90-115B 🙏

The Barcode liveries have held up rather well through the ages. I also hope Air France will never move away from the Barcode style liveries, its too associated with AF's brand identity. Air France has found a timeless livery design, it doesn't need radical changes.
And not only the Barcode is timeless, but also the logo itself:

It is perfect since 2009 and should never get replaced! I’m glad AF kept it for the 2021 livery, 12 years later (which is, in my opinion, the best livery update among every airlines since 2010):IMG_1692.jpegHopefully Air France will forever stay loyal to it. Any change would be a downgrade

Air France Cargo Airbus A350F by NG.
It's a fantasy model, the kind of model I'm usually not found of brands making as I prefer having models of aircraft that exist in real life and those fantasy models take production slots away from other models. So why did I buy this model then ? I bought it because I like how the AF Cargo livery looked on the A350F and I was afraid NG might 'forget' to release this again when the real aircraft is delivered.

Two Air France Boeing 777-328ERs, F-GSQH and F-GZNP in the Paris 2024 livery by NG. The sticker was an advertisement for Paris being a candidate city to host the 2024 summer olympics. The sticker was removed from F-GSQH in 2018 and F-GZNP's sticker was removed between 2019 and 2021. Both aircraft are currently flying in the 2009 Barcode livery.

Some thing about the white AF livery is so elegant, better than many other “Eurowhite” liveries
I always said: "don't ask me why but the Air France and Swiss white liveries have something more respect the other boring Eurowhites. Maybe it is a different shade of white, the snow - white, more similar to a soft cream white, something we can't recognize at a first look but that our eyes and brain recognize..", different to explain. The same effect was similar on Garuda Indonesia previous livery, especially on the DC-10.

Thanks to the reactive pilots and the relatively low speed at the time of abortion (59 knots GS according to Flightradar24). It is unbelievable that so many incidents like this can happen nowadays 😡 (especially in the US recently…). You can’t be two pilots (with at leats over 1500h for the FO) in this Gulfstream cockpit and not check both side of the runway before crossing it (and without ATC clearance!).
