Bake's 1:400 Collection

This is N648US, a 767-200ER in the hybrid USAir/Piedmont scheme. It wore this livery from roughly 1989 at the merger to 1994 or so till being repainted to the standard polish livery.

This model is a 2006 JetX release and holds up very well to today considering the age imo. Just don’t look at the gears at least lol. This reg also exists in this scale in the standard USAir scheme at the time, a 2019 AeroClassics release that I also have. (photos in this thread somewhere I think)

Here it is shown at the brand new at the time Pittsburgh Airport preparing for a flight to Frankfurt, Germany as USAir flight 8.

Lovely! Specially on an airport environment, next to other sisterships 🥰

This is the first production Boeing 747-100 N7470. It rolled off the Assembly line on September 30, 1968. Until 1990, Boeing used it for research and testing. It took its final flight in 1995 to Seattle, Washington and is still on Display at the Museum of Flight.

NG has made both this version and the musesum version. This is an NGLite product, so no antennas and the printing quality is clearly just a slight touch below what i’m used to from NG. No less, it’s a fantastic model and i’m happy to have mine.

Also, just a reminder of my instagram where I post all these photos, and sometimes more. Feel free to check it out!

Ever thought of making a YouTube channel for your airports?

Ever thought of making a YouTube channel for your airports?

yes, but i’m not one to talk into my hand held phone or a camera. It’s just not really my personality. I’d have to find a fun and interesting way to do it which I haven’t quite figured out. I’d never want to do consistent “updates” like some youtubers do, but maybe I could do era updates like indyjets and purpleplane do for their IND stuff, kinda talk through the history of whatever routes are on the board and all once in a blue moon. Like a historical thing to show how time passes. I may eventually start doing timelapse stuff for how I construct my boards as well, kinda tutorials for some people as I rememeber it was super difficult to find anything good online about how to do all that. At least when it comes to making “realistic” airports instead of fictional ones. Idk, all pipe dream down the line stuff. I’m still young and learning in the craft of model making so I want more experience before I become a “teacher” of sorts :)

I just enjoy “coloring” (🤣) my boards and taking photos right now. My first priority for this year is to get some kind of light box or two and some actual backdrops so I can stop using random lamps and making crazy lighting setups for photos. Make things a ton more consistent with my general content across the board.
