My humble contribution - first submission of mine accepted by JetPhotos
United 737-222 N9065U preserved at Hiller Museum in Battleship Gray colors. Even though I grew up with Continental, I gotta admit that this is still one of the best schemes.
P.S. This frame was hijacked in 1971 by a crazed coal miner trying to escape what he thought was an impending nuclear apocalypse. The flight diverted to IAD where the hijacker was disarmed and taken into custody, ending the ordeal on a rather peaceful note.
This past weekend I met up with friends in Florida and got to do plane spotting at each of the three major international airports (MIA, MCO, TPA). While at MIA, Yankee Tango paid us a visit (I was told they get this aircraft often) and she left in the midst of golden hour. So far it’s my favorite shot from this trip; I’ve yet to go through all the photos and videos from that trip.
