Hey y'all I thought I might start a thread here for my 1:1 aviation photography, which will be largely centered around my local, 5 mins away by car airport, Glasgow International ( GLA/EGPF). I'll chuck in some Glasgow-Prestwick too, (40 mins away) and wherever else I end up on my travels. Feel free to join in if you like.

Yes, we need to make the most of these 757's. Almost 40 years in service around the world and certainly on the home straight now. Thanks for the complement.

Surprised to see Glasgow gets the EK A380, how busy is the airport?

It's taken a hit since Covid with many trans Atlantic services moving to EDI on the east coast, 50 miles away. The A380 was one of two daily DXB flights, the other being a 777-300. We're still currently in post pandemic mode with just one 777 daily service but EK aim to restore the A380 on what they describe as a high performing route, next summer.

Wow, must be exciting to get A380 service to your local airport. I’m 10 minutes from an airport where we’re lucky if we get a 737 charter flight a few times a month.

I was super bummed when that happened, their was talk they may restore it. Hopefully that happens.

You must be reasonably close to Indianapolis IND/KIND too then I presume ? Although that might only be of interest to Fed Ex spotters.

Yup, just about an hour south of KIND. Pretty heavy with FedEx ops but gets some decent narrowbody diversity. Still never found that great of a place to spot near KIND yet.

What an epic lineup of shots, man! I love all the verity and colorful liveries river there in Europe. Are you by chance on JetPhotos or any of the other "professional" sites?
