What is the first 1:400 scale model aircraft you got?

Our (my son and I together) first 1/400th purchase I believe was this Gemini Jets Delta L-1011 N740DA, March 1999.

Certainly not that many operational true 707s that people our age got to see. The only one I recall seeing in person was the FAV tanker, plus a handful stashed away at MIA’s corrosion corner. Unlike DC-8s which I saw extensively.

I have seen videos of CAC at CCS in the early 1990s, that’s why I got it.

Exactly, have seen a few operational military variants but only that CAC civilian. Lots of DC-8s though. I remember seeing a bunch of Fine Air at MIA (custom coming soon).

A Gemini Delta 767-300ER, N173DZ. Fitting choice given my criteria (I look away for a while and my collection of the type has now grown out of control). One of Gemini's best works even to date and it definitely did its job which was to get me addicted to 400 scale.
