Nothing is certain but probably not using these moulds after these first two batches

Prime opportunity for HX though...

I dunno. HX's record on narrowbodies so far is poor and their mainly Asian release choices would never match the usage of those moulds.

If you're looking for perfection I suggest you stop collecting 400 scale models!

Anyway we have finally received a response from the manufacturer in which they say:

"We agree to investigate the cause and resolve the issue before proceeding with shipping. However, due to the holiday constraints, we are currently unable to provide a definitive timeline for resolution. We sincerely apologize for this situation"

So there is reason to believe this will get resolved but the 727s at least will definitely be delayed and timelines are unclear at the moment.

Unclear at this point. There is the possibility that assembly wasn't completed for a good chunk of the 727s so in an ideal world they wouldn't need to remove the existing engines for all of them. Have to wait and see what they say.

the TWA delivery & Eastern polished DC-9s are nice too...........
hopefully they'll be able to fix the engines on the TWA trijet
