V1:400 Models - A New US 400 Scale Brand

How about a complete set of Braniff Ultra 727s? AC didn't do all of the colors, and the ones they did do had the striping done incorrectly on the engines. I especially would love to see the one-off N404BN in Sparkling Burgundy with red trim.
Once again licensing would probably be a problem. Hard to get

Gemini appears to have gotten it for their upcoming BAC-111 release. You ought to check into it at least...
Licensing might be easier to obtain for the other liveries like the Reebok one from Braniff II. The colorful era is of utmost difficulty to get approval from what I’ve heard.

Well, if we could at least get a Braniff II 737-200 in the same scheme as the BAC that's coming out (N4511W is but one example), I would still consider that a win. Nobody has done one in 1:400.

One day I hope for a Qantas 734 in the original '84-07 colours. An absolute workhorse of the Australian domestic fleet for a quarter century and never produced. My Hobby Shop in Malaysia did one via Panda but in the post 2007 scheme...
I was looking for the same thing, but grew impatient and caved when a friend was traveling through the area and was able to pick up the my hobby House 2007 version.

Nice! I've got the 2007 version too. But I'd pay real money for the 1984 scheme, I've lost count of the number of times I flew these (and the 733) in the 90's and 00's. Last one was VH-TJU 'Currawong' in April 2010. Hopefully Panda/MHH will look into it in the future.

Yeah, MHH are a good bunch. I did mention the '84 colours to them when they were doing the set. They sounded interested. But that was a while ago. The Australian Airline and The Spirit of Australia taglines along with the 75th anniversary sticker would make for another nice QF 733/4 set. But I'm probably getting greedy and going OT here, so I'll cease. ;)

Suggest to MHH - and let's see
Those earlier ones sold well afaik

Out of curiosity since a forum member themself is now deeply involved in model making, what’s the timeline from artwork concept to first produced to ready to ship?

I'm not the only forum member involved with model making directly.

The timescale is variable and, like price, based on a whole range of factors - manufacturer, their backlog, whether they have the moulds cast already (they tend to batch cast), how long it takes them to get the art signed off, whether licensing is involved, the US political situation etc etc etc

Any news, Rich? Eager to see these releases.
Panda 767s are soooo nice!
We should be getting close to the first announcement I would imagine. I’ve been eager to cover this brand…

Sorry guys. It has been frustrating. The handbrake at the moment is Boeing who have still not signed off the artwork and packaging even though they should have done so weeks ago.

On the plus side I have seen photos of finished versions of all 8 767-200s and completed fuselages of 6 727-200s and 2 DC-9-10s. I am super keen to announce the first batch, but I can't until I get permission and that relies on Boeing at the moment.
