Taiwanese 747s

I posted about the EVA Air 747-400 a few weeks back but it has now been joined by a 2nd Taiwanese 747 - B-164. I hadn't realised this model existed until I saw someone post about it on Facebook, but it can be found on Taobao. It was made for Albatros of Taiwan using the HX mould. Albatros don't make a lot of 400 scale models - it seems they more regularly make 200.

It's funny, when you browse for China Airlines old livery models on Taobao the Taiwanese flag is hidden, but I didn't expect it to be also covered up in real life, both on the box and on the model.

Fortunately, it hasn't impacted the model itself, which is very nice and comes with collector's card.

and with the EVA:

It's a beauty, but the cockpit windows seem to be a bit too high (just like the Cathay specials 744s).
There's another China Airlines B744 on the pipeline (by Kylin Models), let's see how these two will compare!

After all, this is one of the earliest 744s from HX, so it is normal to have the problem of windows being too high.

However, I will order Kylin Models CI 744 instead. After all, I believe the new CI 744 will improve the windows problem.

I think the Kylin one is all flaps down isn't it?

Latest photos of cockpit windows modifications on China Airlines 744 (manufactured by HX Model for Kylin Model). This is the result of multiple modifications, essentially reaching the highest quality level achievable by HX Model. Moreover, all three China Airlines 747 products feature both normal version and flaps down version, and come equipped with alloy display stands.Image_1754354680787.jpg

Looking really good!

I know that removing the national flag is a strategy of "political low profile and business pragmatism," aimed at ensuring China Airlines can operate smoothly around the world, especially in mainland China.

I am still waiting for China Airlines' 18203. The latest information is that it is already in production, with the design confirmed on July 4th. It will be in a 1/400 scale. As for Lufthansa's ABYQ livery, it is unclear whether it will be in a 1/200 or 1/400 scale, but both of these models have also entered the production stage.
Here, I am using a model diagram from another brand as an example.

Half right,CI only began flying to mainland China in 2003(Because before three No's Policy,No Contact, No Negotiation, No Compromise). The main reason for the livery change was the increasingly difficult diplomatic situation following the Republic of China's withdrawal from the United Nations in 1971. In response to the PRC's One-China principle, some countries, such as Canada and Australia, refused to fly China Airlines under the ROC flag. This led to China Airlines transferring these routes to Mandarin Airlines (which was also the reason for the airline's establishment). The livery change was intended to reduce obstacles in obtaining air rights and to maintain service to Hong Kong routes after July 1997 (when Hong Kong was returned to China).

There’s no doubt that the One-China principle is inviolable. Thank you for your addition
