BA 1011-500 "The Hairy Wheatcraft Rose". BA was the first customer of the 500 variant and this livery is absolutely STUNNING

PA "Clipper Black Hawk". Came across this at a very good price so had to get this even though my main focus is not American carriers.

Tu-144 aka the Russian Concorde. Comparing to the Concorde it is sharper and rougher around the edges, losing the elegance of the Concorde imo. I wish Herpa made a version with the nose down and winglets extended! That would be very unique.

Concorde probably? my fav aircraft of all time. It still amazes me that we could used to fly at twice the speed of sound and get across the Atlantic in less than 4 hours. Hopefully boom supersonic will bring this back to life and brings the next chapter in civil aviation! I am also happy that herpa made the droop snoot stage of the plane which is super unique and iconic

Also the classic AF livery. I think I'm just missing the modern AF livery as well as the other factory prototype in normal config.

I was surprised to find out that Herpa made them! May end up getting the Pan Am, BI fantasy liveries and also find the rare SQ one too!

A300 "Clipper America", kind of ironic that the title is on an non-US aircraft. Also very impressed by the GE logo on the engine that you can barely make out with naked eyes!

I wonder why Herpa did not produce the old, classic OG A300 and A310 in NG! No license problems, airlines now demised by so many years, so it would have been a good way to relaunch the collection.

Yeah..I think there are a300 in Lufthansa & classic AirFrance livery (but very hard to find)? Also Eastern, Qatar and also the cargo ones. Anyways it is a shame that such significant aircrafts are under-represented in 1:500 I really want the a300 in AirFrance colours (or lack of colours haha)

BEA/ Eastern hybrid promo livery Tristar which attended the 1972 Farnborough air show. I was surprised that they made this livery. Unfortunately the front gear of mine snapped and the right engine is misaligned... Hopefully I can find a better sample! A fun fact is that when the Tristar entered service BEA no longer existed and became BA, therefore this was the only Tristar that wore a BEA livery.

AA 752 "Astrojet". I wonder if any brand made the AA757 in the regular chrome livery? Brill mould model by Starjet as always.

AA MD-11. I have very fond memories of the chrome AA DC-10/ MD-11 as I remember being gifted a brick set of the plane as a child. The set was incomplete but I always remember the piece of the AA tail with the engine!

Great American Airlines MD-11.
I would like to remember everyone loving 1:500 scale that a wonderful monster of beauty, Alitalia MD-11, has been never (seriously) produced! Yes, Herpa produced an old generation and then an hybrid new generation models, but they are awful for today standards and especially for StarJets MD-11 mould. I asked many times for Alitalia MD-11 but i imagine It will remain just a dream.
So, waiting for 1:400 scale by JCWings...

I was looking at the alitalia/ united dc-10 hybrid livery but honestly the mould is just meh at best...Herpa's dc-10/ md-11 moulds are just not it...but if Herpa released a new swiss md-11, maybe we have hope for a new alitalia one...In my opinion Herpa's extensive use of unpainted moulded plastic parts for tails & engines really make the models look cheap sometimes, but on the other hand Starjet's paint quality and details are just more premium, even with metal landing gears! I once had a AF Starjet 747-400 shipped to me in its box without any inner protective packaging and it arrived with just some minor scrapes, can't imagine what would happen if that was a Herpa model LOL.

I was wondering what is your opinion on the newer released AA DC-10-30 in chrome livery by Herpa? I couldn't find much info on that and that seems quite rare, but I would like to find one at a good price some day!

Well, about Alitalia i am not so confident about Herpa production. Herpa has realized a decent MD-11 mould but the manufacturer doesn't seem focused on MD-11 production.
American Airlines DC-10: like MD-11 mould Is decent but not at StarJets level, the DC-10 mould Is decent too but not at Inflight500 first mould level. The model Is nice and then you have to consider that if you like It you have not alternative, there aren't other DC-10 manufacturers so far.
