The 78th model in my collection arrived today. This 3D Design Deck Skippers Aviation DHC-8-106 VH-XFQ.



This is yet again another absolute stunner from 3DD, and I am absolutely in love with their Dashies. The box on this one is fantastic, showing Western Australia, where Skippers Aviation operates. This is the first 3DD Dash-8 I've gotten that hasn't come damaged due to shipping.

HX/YY Jumbos #24 and #25 recently added into my collection!

While on a trip in Hong Kong I managed to pick up the older CAAC 747-200 release, and a late 2024 release updated Air China 747-8. Note they both feature the silver painted gear vs the original grey gear

CAAC operated B-2440 for a short lease period, retaining the original 3-window layout and early JT9D pylons until its return to Boeing, and retrofitted with the (then standard) 10 window upper deck for Virgin in 1986.

With the split of CAAC, Air China retained CAACs basic livery though the blue cheatline was slightly modified in tone/hue. This is noticeable between each model when placed together.
