Comparison of B-18203 with JC standard B-18215 (The "Jimmy Liao" livery is based on the standard livery - so should make sense)

Btw props to HX for capturing the difference on two generations of China Airlines "Plum blossom" - which is represented by the two models
("Jimmy Liao" the late 2010 version - "Boeing" the early 1995 version)

Should mention that HX do extend the difference into packaging with slight font variations on the box of the models. ( Something Phoenix had notoriously messed up for a while)
The comparison between JC and HX makes me want to avoid JC for life... it looks so off.New HX China Airlines 747-400 arrived -

For sure... Now that I have an HX to compare to my JCs, the differences become quite clear. There seems to be more parity with the NG 748 nose, but I do not have a 400 by NG, yet. Quite honestly, may never, if HX maintains this level of accuracy and quality. The comparison between JC and HX makes me want to avoid JC for life... it looks so off.
The main store in Chicago is Grayland Station, but a collector also set one up in Worth (Flyman Models). He has been quiet for a while.I totally understand as the nearest store to me in Detroit Michigan is either in Chicago or Dayton Ohio which is 3 to 4 hours one way via car... I'm hoping to go to the Chicago fair in November and may take a look at this one in person, but that opportunity is few and far between.
