Show Your Latest 1:400 Purchase

Two new rarer arrivals today. Both via Northeast Diecast and @YesterAirlines discount code. Although they usually have quite pricey models on there, both of these were the cheapest i’ve seen these going for by a long shot and I decided to pull the trigger. I’ll be doing a MetroJet write up here in the next couple days telling the history of the airline and the two models surrounding it!

Great ones! They look lovely together!!!

Such a coincidence we both picked up the AZ freighter at the same time. Loving your Nines - got my eye on the SAS 1980s - one I need to get myself
Yes, it is. I saw your post while postman knocked my door. I love the AC DC-9’s and regret I didn’t buy more when released. Now it is a hunt……

Early NG was peak NG, both in terms of QC and the variety of releases; this model of a Continental 737-800, N77296, exemplifies that.

The globe livery was just as striking as United's Evo Blue scheme on newly delivered 737s and 777s during Continental's prime - a fact beautifully captured by this model

Just received a couple interesting models

JC Wings Boeing 787-8 Deer Jet 2-DEER

Gemini Jets Boeing 737 BBJ N737BZ (This model I believe is custom as it has no winglets like the original release and has the US Navy symbol on the wing. Has anybody else seen this model before?) I do have the model with winglets on the way too.

I have the BBJ model. It does come from the factory with winglets and no military signage. I’d get mine out for photos BUT i took some acetone to it about 10 years for a “custom” and now it’s a blobby mess at the main titles lol.

Your custom doesn’t look too bad though, the shaved down winglets looks legit. They might have replaced that whole wing cradle with another cradle.

Yes the wings do look perfect, I was comparing it with model that has the winglets to see if it had been shaved down, but it does look perfect. They did a good job. I did message the person I purchased this model from if it’s been customised. It’s nice to have a one of one I guess. I do have the non-customised BBJ on the way too.

I purchased a tiger air a319 and then realised it doesn’t really fit into my collection, so I might do some decals and turn it into a different airline. Either Skytrans or Minres Air. Have you done many custom models before? I want to try getting into that.

Other than my goopy mess on the BBJ i’ve attempted no other customs lol. I don’t think I have that skill in me right now lol

My best bet of this custom was an exchange of the wingbox since there is a US Navy 737 without winglet produced by GJ. Potentially, the custom maker wanted the winglet on the USN so a swap was made.

A new addition for me today - which I travelled across the border to the Netherlands to meet and greet with the seller in less than 15 mins before returning back. One of the classic livery on the Boeing 757 (my favorite aircraft type) - introducing Martinair B757-27B PH-AHI by NG. The aircraft started its career at airholland - the sistership of which was exchanged at NG Exchange mall.

The wingspan issue is more annoying than I thought though😢 Other wise it would be one great model to supplement my CX fleet.

I didn't realise that there are so many slight differences in the plenty Cathay Brushwing that I own🙈🙈

The two tails at the front are Jumbos - Left being the JC B-HUI and Right being YY B-HUJ
The tail at the rear left is AV400 B-KPB, while the one at rear right is Aeroclassics B-LAX and the one sandwiched between AC and YY is Phoenix VR-HLD...
Color wise the AV are too dark whereas logo wise AC fell short miserably with a stretched brushwing😐

B744 B-HUJ looks great!
Such a pity about the B743 wingspan. Massive mistake by HX, and sadly not the first time they did this.

I like the comparison between the HX and JC brushwing 747s.
JC looks too saturated, while HX seems to have the correct look.

Couple of recent Chinese A350s from NG Models. The China Southern A350-900 B-30CE wearing the Moutai scheme:

And B-32HG for Sichuan Airlines. This frame and one other were to be the last A350s for Sichuan but although she was fully painted into this new variant of the Panda Route scheme the aircraft was never taken up and instead, along with its sister, will join Ethiopian Airlines.

And here's the Moutai in place on a very busy CZ shelf:
