Two more old Aeroclassics arrived today. Austrian DC-9-30 OE-LDA from 2007 and Adria Airways DC-9-30 YU-AHW from 2006.

I'm still missing the AUA DC-9 im my collection. And interestingly I must say that I also don't have a card coming with my HC Adria DC-9.

Yes, it is very difficult to get any A340 of Panda nowadays. Only less than 20 frames have been made.

The Adria is definitely a Hangar Club model. I have it (and the card) in my storage shed somewhere

This will remain one of the best schemes ever to grace any aircraft - and an example of classic minimalism done right

I loved this even better with the discrete white logo on the red tail.

Got some new AeroClassics today. Really happy with the 10s.

I only think that the polished surface on the Eastern DC-10 is not as shiny as on the recent NG L-1011.






I just have to glue the nose gear back into position.

I have been off the grid as of late and just received these special livery classic Qantas Quads. Starting with the narrowbody:

Qantas B707-338C VH-EAB “Have a Qantastic Christmas” by Aeroclassics. This is my first ever actual 707 in my collection which I have secured for a fairly nice price. Qantas has reused this reg on a 747SP as well.


Qantas B747-238 VH-EBM “Boxing Kangaroo” by BigBird. I have had a streak with BB 747 Classics as of late and hopefully I can feature another photoshoot with an incoming model before I get back to Germany. Despite incorrectness, the BigBird 747s are more eye-pleasing for me. The nose-gear on this one was in its original plastic packaging, which i did not plan to install it for the time being. Hence, no photoshoot for this Queen. The chrome is not as shiny as I have imagined though.

Up until 2020s were the GE90-115B on Phoenix’s 77W small. They have resolved the issues now. Iirc, they first install the updated the larger GE90 on the B77L (i guess Qatar Cargo with current smaller oryx as the first updated release). Several months later the corrected version were employed on the 77W (Aeroflot last B77W pax ever made as first release).
