I've still got a couple of AMS Fair additions to add into the collection. Today I finally photographed the Luftwaffe A340-300 16+01. I had seen its sistership 16+02 at RIAT in 2022. The Panda A340 is super nice. Another example of taking an Aeroclassics mould and just creating a better end product. I admit this one wasn't a cheap purchase at the fair, but I got the guy down to EUR60.

Btw although the 763s are rather well built and problem-free, the QC of the HA A332 is shockingly sloppy😡😡
The wings are not balance and some even bent like madness on the units I checked in store - ALL of them😡😡😡
Worse there are futher issues like questionable fit on the nose gear, print issues etc...

The one I had is probably the best of the bunch in store🙄🙄

The wing issue imo is a fallout of the curious shorter main landing gears they've started using. The A330s have low hanging engines - and until the tall main gears were correctly used by PHX, it was no problem - but with the shorter gears - the wings now need to have an unrealistic dihedral or the engines will scrape the ground.

I'm no longer getting any PHX A330s - even though they make great subjects - until they fix that stupid landing gear modification they've made.
PHX A330s now have been shunted down to JC's level, or worse.

Think I will pass on this now. There A330’s used to be good, but the QC lately on their moulds have been very poor. Maybe they are rushing due to the lengthy backlog?

It's specifically the A330 that's been ravaged - it used to be one of the best.
Why would they spoil it?!
See this Pic from AvMgS. It looks like a JC A330 now. Notice the port wing has been bent downward.
Terrible.
