It was good meeting you! I can't remember now, did you get the UA 764 from me? I had not realized it is the same reg as the Continental DW, which I have in my collection.

First 1:400 purchase in years. I was strictly 1:200 for the past 5+ years, I’m amazed how detailed this small scale has gotten!
Ngl... I thought you were using stock images of the real aircraft to prank us since April Fool's is coming up :ROFLMAO:

Truly a testament to how far this scale has come in terms of details, and your killer Photoshop skills!

Haha!! Now that would’ve been pretty funny for my first post here. That would’ve been especially fitting with the stock labeled photos🤣. Surprisingly I’ve actually never edited a model onto backdrop before, but I’d have to give most of the credit to the app I used , its incredible how easy it can be! All I really had to do was get the correct angles, sizing, edit exposure contrast etc. My last 1:400 was before any manufacturer had even introduced aerials yet Now they’re the norm and with superior printing/detail, flaps down versions , removable gear on some AV400’s, Im completely drawn back to the scale! It’s awesome to see all these details packed onto such small models and I’m even more excited to see what else the future will bring us!

This is my last arrival for a while using this diorama. I haven’t shared any Phoenix Model new arrivals for a long time, particularly they were purchased during the time I’m not in Vietnam. So, here they are:

A well-executed model by Phoenix on their updated Dreamliner - United Airlines B787-8 N45905 “evoBlue”. My evoBlue widebody fleet is near complete.

A model which received lots of attention as of late - Hawaiian Airlines A330-243 N399HA. The printing is done quite well. Despite having some drawbacks, it’s still a nice representation albeit not a perfect one.

I rarely buy duplicate of an airline livery + aircraft combo. Exceptions are made and as the airline is my flag carrier - and as the paint scheme was recreated well - I also added this Vietnam Airlines B787-9 VN-A870.

And finally, a non-Phoenix model of today’s arrival and a model that I long wanted since I started my 747 Classic journey. A model I once lost bid to but won this time, but at its right price for the moment. I would share more in the photoshoot thread but the weather wasn’t ideal for the last several days. It’s the elusive BigBird400 Cathay Pacific B747-267 VR-HKG.

That’s all for today’s post. I really hope to share more photos of the Lettuce Sandwich 742.
