Show Your Latest 1:400 Purchase

New this month, model number 846 for me. Iberia Airlines MD-88: EC-FOZ made by NG models. Part number NG83005. Distributed in February 2025. The 1/1 was originally delivered to Aviaco in 1982, and then to Ibera in 1999. In action until 2008, and broken up in 2022. Perhaps one of the prettiest 1/400s I've ever held in my hand.

One of the best NG releases lately. Really hope to see them releasing more interesting MD-80s

A surprise package in the mail has arrived for me. The "Hobby Models"(A front for C Models due to licensing issues) Emirates 737-300 AP-BCD. The real aircraft was wet-leased from PIA alongside an A300 AP-BBM in 1985 to start operations and stayed with Emirates until 1988.

It didn't come with the collectors card which would have been nice but it did come with an Avworld QC check slip, quite like the idea.

Overall, lovely little model. The Panda 737-300 mould is wonderful, and the printing is exquisite. I'd love to see a full PIA example one day as well.
Bonus: AP-BCD and AP-BBM on the ground for the inaugural flights of Emirates in 1985. Apparently the EK code Emirates flights use stands for "Emirates to Karachi", as their first flight was to Karachi as EK600. A plausible theory but I wouldn't be surprised if it was false.

It's a gorgeous model.
I picked up the CA 733 which I think was released as part of the same set - have yet to receive it.
I didn't get the card bit - as in it had a collector's card which was missing, or since it's a sub-brand it doesn't come with the card?

I can't speak for the CAAC 733, but I know that I saw this model with the collectors card posted on eBay. Even in this forum, I believe Richard received the same model with the card, denoting it to be the 93th out of a run of 180 models. Might just be a case of the card falling out during transit and no one realized. Oh well, at least the model came intact, all that matters.

This model arrived today at the hangar (a purchase from Taobao) - the C Models Emirates 737-300 (using the Panda Models mould). 180 units produced and this is number 93 the nice card tells me.

Amid the stressful move and some recent back issues, I was able to find a small bit of time to take a quick photo of some new (but alos old) arrivals of mine!

My first ever diecast 1:200 model - US Airways 737-400 [N442US] from Phoenix, 2008 (?) release. got it for a great price on ebay and it is now the first step towards switching to 1:200 :devilish: :devilish: I won’t be getting many 1:200 (mainly us airways) but will post better photos someday in a proper 1:200 thread.

and mainly - a US Airways ERJ145 by Gemini that released originally for 25usd, discounted to 19.99usd (pain and suffering), back in 2005. Mine is as in mint condition as you can get for 20 years old and I love it despite the old and quite shite mould :) super excited to get more photos done once this move is finally over…
