Yep. Looks ugly. Lazy for them to not have rectified it while making the interactive version.
The recent releases seem to have fixed that though - like the recently announced NICA
I agreed that it has been fixed like the NCA example, though not perfect either. The previous ones are horrendous (I got myself one and swore that I never get any more interactives irrespective of the type, but i did get 2 more because of the livery + aircraft combo).

Samesies 🙈 I ended up with 5 (?!!!). But refrained from any thereafter. Let go of the Cargolux cutaway and the HK trader.

Just got this custom VASP B727-200 PP-SNJ!

Beautiful new custom Leo! I really like the classy cheatlines from the good old days!

Wow, I only got 2 more (Kalitta and Atlas Air 744F). I plan to have a try with the 777F Interactive but yet to find an attractive enough scheme. And when JC releases the Silkway hybrid with SkyGates, I surely get one.

Dragon Delta "Spirit of Delta" 767-200. Saw this at the Delta museum and had to get one. Not a fancy Aeroclassics but the Dragon mould for the 767 is still pretty good. I got to see this one when it was still operational with the 75th anniversary colors. Still on the lookout for that one.

Seems like NG is also rushing to get as much models out as possible - I get 4 models 3 days to the year of Dragon!

There's plentiful things that could be talked besides the models regarding these "Ultimate Collection" - so I think I probably should start a new thread to talk about it😛 Stay tuned if you're interested on it.

Besides the NGs I also come across some release that is way too quiet - nobody announce it!

There's also a BOAC 741 beside from this Pan Am - anyone has idea when does AC announce it?

I only reckon the Virgin Atlantic 741/Korean Air 742/ ANA 747SR are announced recently under BB😂😂 (I do realise there's also a Pan Am 707 and an Aer Lingus 707)

Congratulations on your new arrivals and I am eager to your discussion regarding the "Ultimate Collection". It seems that business is still running per usual at your place, many services at mine have stopped for a few days. Because of that, a model I eager to get my hands on had to arrive after the Lunar New Year.

Regarding the Pan Am and BOAC 741s: they could have been a part of the next AC release which will be announced on the 1st Day of Dragon Year in our time zone. Presumably this situation could potentially mean that your store might have all of the incoming release available.

They are gorgeous. Seems like the cockpit windows misalignment is blown a bit out of proportion - awaiting mine along with the others ❤️.

I'm curious too regarding the Beijing Torch Relay scheme - that seems natural to make next.

I honestly don’t mind paying a little extra for the box, I know others really don’t care about boxes but these just look so premium and I think the unboxing experience of a model is just as important as the model itself at times. Insane job by NG!

A gorgeous Aeroclassics Avianca red-top, N975AV, standing in for her sistership N969AV, now N819CA operating for National Airlines (with an equally stunning livery), which I spotted at BWI.

The red looks extra lovely on camera

Gorgeous model. This livery was super nice. It was modern and still retained the classic red top design, quite a trademark of Avianca.
Nowadays their livery is super bland and their service is met with lot of criticism. Too bad the good days of Avianca seem to be in the past.

Agree vehemently - this was such a lively scheme - a worthy evolution of a classic scheme. The rebranding was unnecessary - just like the recent one - amusingly, every rebranding has less and less of their legacy reds, but seems to take them more and more into the red.(pun very much intended). A sad state for one of the world's oldest airlines

On that note, it’s avianca, not Avianca. Yeah…

Indeed. Avianca's 2005 livery was close to perfection, and from what I can tell it also coincided with their golden years. Too bad good things never seem to last.

I wished to see the livery in the flesh but Avianca had gotten rid of all their red-top birds, so N819CA/N969AV will have to do. For what it's worth, several of their A330s did pass through my hometown airport of IAH for customs clearance before heading to the boneyard/other operators, including N975AV. I could also drive 2 hours to Lake Charles to see N973AV but it ain't worth it at this moment.

I’ve been eyeing these Phoenix models for a while now to see how they are in person and obviously I had a pretty low expectation given the 747 mould however I still like them as it’s my first Delta 747 and a little insight into what’s to come when I obtain a BigBird, GJ, or even NG someday! The MD-11 on the other hand I think it’s like average and don’t mind it at all. I usually appreciate models even though they have their respective issues so these still look great in my collection imo. Now I think Phoenix did do great on the boxes especially the 747 one! My only complaint here is the QC on both with the polished belly.

Whoopsie! You're right. BTW that change to lowercase was one of the most pathetic things i've seen... (n)

Very nice! I bet you are also keeping an eye out for the 767 release? Would be a great companion to your two new models... and the rest of your DL Widget fleet, of course :)

Hi there !
Well, two models I really wanted to have...but being Phoenix, you've got to be ready for some annoyance. As someone wrote in the forum, they've got the best ideas but the worst QC. I really don't like the idea of always having to place the models in a way that you have to hide the flaws...
Delta Boeing 767-300 N117DL

IMHO, Phoenix has the best 767-300 mould around, no doubt about this, specially when it comes to chrome belly and front part of the plane. I purchased the DL 767 , which is a BEAUTIFUL model, BUT...the screw it up with the tail. If you look closely, the base of the widget should be straight and not titled to the right. processed-6884CE27-B5F1-409C-A4ED-379C9523AA81.jpeg

TWA Boeing 747-100 N5110

Nothing to add to the PH 747 mould. We all know what we are going to get, but I can live with it...from the far.
As the quality control of PH is a disaster, its easy to find flaws al around. But as this is a model I needed, I cannot wait for NG to release it as this is something nobody knows.
As with the DL 767, the paint in the vertical stabilizer is wrong , too low and missplaced. The registration was changed, but they forgot to change as well the registration on the nose side. Apart from this, as I said, I can live with it, obviously hoping to replace it with a NG model if the really manage to have a decent cockpit windows on the classics 747's
