The model is a fine release but the printing quality of Aeroclassics doesn't seem to be the best here...
I thought AC moved to a new location this year. If so, are the recent releases still from the old warehouse or did all the problems and issues move as well?
But I also think there's a certain level of magnification that just is not to any model's benefit.
 
Yeah there is something going wrong at the painting and printing department. During Covid it got a lot worse (understandable), but it hasn't improved at all ever since. Perhaps there is a new worker who is not as precise with his/her work as the previous one.

As I'm in charge for a production line myself I'm not buying the worker excuse. This may work for some isolated cases and within one batch, but not over months. This is more the entire quality management process that fails, from r&d via preparatory/production planning to qc.
So unless there's really nobody available with the ability to push the button on the pad printer, I blame it on management (dollars).
 
My first NG MODELS TriStar... I had held off going down the classic airline path, but when I saw this rare find, an Air Lanka TriStar, I had no choice.

The mould needs no introductions, as most here are well aware of its awesomeness. NG really did hit a sixer on this mould. The Air Lanka classic livery also looks fitting on the Tristar, with that gorgeous peacock across the equally iconic L1011 tail. One thing I noticed missing was the Sri Lankan flag, however it could be that this particular registration didn't have it applied.

I saw this same bird on the apron on a trip back to Sri Lanka, while sitting in BA 747 Classic in the 80s. Will never forget that iconic 🦚... ❤️

Now I may have to get that BA 747 Classic, whenever NG gets around to it. Until then, a couple snaps of my first classic.

I realized I was missing a United Saul Bass model, now I got 4. I also missed out on the merger livery so now I got that too. Last but not least, the Icelandair B757 TF-FIK that is a custom from DT Customs.


Unfortunately the front gear on the B744 (JC) came crooked and does not look good. Have to get it replaced.

Here are the newcomers to my collection:
- The NG Redemption - Taban Air B757-200 EY-752 which iirc is still available at stores but still retained its original price - a big no purchase for me. Are you guys looking forward to the 2nd round starting in around 8 hours at the time of my post? I have my eye on a model which is not available now by any retailers.
- "The Redemption Shipper" - Egyptair B777-300ER SU-GDP by PHX. It is such a good looking model and at a discount it is a no-brainer purchase. Actually I decided that the previous 4 models coming MHH should account for the shipping cost for the redemption but alas they might stuck there quite a while leading to full storage so the store shipped them first. As a result I got the MS B77W sooner than expected (and got into funding struggles). Nonetheless it is a beauty.

The Egyptair unites! The airline became the second African operator having both passenger and cargo representatives in my collection. The first airline to do this is Ethiopian, with A350 passenger jet and B777-200F.

That one is a gem! The model represents circa mid-late 1990s condition in terms of the livery, by which time the Sri Lankan flag had been removed for whatever reason. It would have been present when originally delivered. I think the “TRISTAR” legend on the #2 was also bigger and bolder when originally applied.

Wow that’s interesting. Whoever employs you are very fortunate to have someone so fastidious in charge of their production!
