I don't particularly like NG 777, but American? Sure :)

Maybe I should also get a BA Oneworld to form a complete set of OW founding members?
(I did get a Qantas OW 747 - it's just that I store it at other place and just ain't able to take it out for pictures)
Not a huge fan either. However couldn't agree more. Good comparison of the Pheonix and NG 777 nose sections. Seems like the nose, windshield and gear are significantly different from each other.

Few arrivals over last couple of days.

AV400/ARD A380 G-XLEL
ARD 777-300 G-STBI (Good Luck Team UK)
GJ 747-400 G-CIVN
JC 777-200 G-YMME (Red Nose/Flying Start/Comic Relief)
ARD A319 G-EUPZ
AV400 737-200 G-BGJE (Hong Kong Tail)
GJ BAE146 G-GNTZ
Phoenix 747-400 G-CIVE (British Asia Airways Landor)
Those AV400s, BA777 and A319 are lovely pick ups. Curious to see more photos of that A319, as the mould has not been released for sale. Clearly the ARD prefix, although being an AV400 mould, have different release timelines.

P.s. QC on these are pretty terrible - I see one with a broken main gear door and paint smudges:cautious:The retailer also said there are plenty of these with even worse QC such as bad wingfit, bubbling etc:rolleyes: Recent JC 744s seems to be having a bad QC lately😵
A beautiful arrival! The Saul Bass matches the 747 perfectly. Yes alas it is hard to understand why QC only affects on the most iconic aircraft - the 747 only.

This United is really tempting me, especially the flaps down version. Can we get more photos of this one my friend?

Took some time to take better pics, the ones I initially posted didn't do the model justice. Natural lighting's the best.

So there's my excitement in disarray at finally receiving this one. Two of the engines were outside the plastic cradle - which itself is cracked with a big hole in it. The outer package is otherwise perfectly alright and not damaged at all - as is the model box which looks spic n span
It seems that a damaged cradle plus model was sent to me - has anyone ever had this experience with Waffle before? I've ordered quite a lot from them recently without any trouble - in fact it's been an excellent experience - and especially with their collection sales - 6 more models are incoming from those haha!
but this is the first time with such an incident. Or would one think that JC packed a damaged model - but even if it did, I'm sure the seller would be checking each individually - but I'm also guessing with their sales volumes, it may not be possible to do so for each and every one?
Nonetheless, here's my first il 86 and I reach out for glue now.

Yea sure - here they are

Please to inform that JC has gone the effort on plating the belly - but the effect were pretty...
20230515_165005.JPG The port side - please to find out that proper PW4000 are used instead of faking with GE CF6-80 - something that happened on the KA 744BCF :cautious:

A GE 744 from JC are included for your ref. - notice the length of the engine and the thickness of the engine exhaust

The entry and retirement schemes of UA 744 - now all I need is a "Rising Blue" 744:LOL:

Yep, i'm also glad that JC is finally using a PW4000 engine mould, instead of using GE mould for PW powered Jumbos.

About the liveries of the UA 747: I see you moentioning the Rising Blue, but do you have the Battleship aswell?

After a long hiatus, I finally got some new arrivals from Taobao (China):
- For my growing Chinese carrier fleet: Heibei Airlines B738 by PandaModels for 28USD shipped is not quite bad. I am surprised that many asked to buy this item but didn't so I took the chance.
- Special traffic for my airport: AeroUnion B762 by Aeroclassics. The model got big paint missing on its starboard side so not the choice of many. I actually strike on this model when it was discounted the second time and I'm glad I have add it into my collection. Also from what I read from AC leaflet, these Aerounion supposed to be limited to California and Mexico market so it's a welcoming addition.
- When everyone start receiving their NG Lettuce L-1011, mine hasn't left the shop. After long while of thinking whether or not buying another 744 Lettuce since I have a zinc-rot BB400 ones, I decided to. Particularly because these command really high price (around 3 standard 1:400 - approx 126USD) by the airline itself and rarely make any appearance on any website for a standard 1:400 price. For around 48USD, not perfect - flawed (well that's a cheaper lesson than my BB ones which cost me nearly 70 and began to degrade already) - but less serious: just bubbling on the wing, I think it's a fair purchase. It deserves another photoshoot but I might not do a side to side comparison Welcome home, Cathay Pacific B744 VR-HOP " Lettuce Green Sandwich" by Herpa on JC mould exclusive for CX.
