It really isn't good looking and no wonder many liked the current "Feathers" livery

I actually really like the China Southern standard scheme. Shame none of their actual 787s have ever worn it. That's a nice model - I'd forgotten they were releasing.

I'm late to the part with this pair. Two models that sum up NG Models 'Year of classics' a term very much lost in translation as it was clearly was aimed at the Chinese market and didn't mean classic as in old. The Phoenix Liner 777s both date from 2009 and were retired in 2016. The scheme was very notable and that is what NG had meant by classic. I only just received this pair myself so just adding them into the CA fleet.

The only post-Saul Bass United scheme missing from my collection is Rising Blue, corresponding to my dislike of the livery - but hold y'all's pitchforks, I'll admit the logo's quite nice :p

N218UA is thus the perfect model to fill that void, and I’ve seen her in real life, too; the mismatched blue cowlings also inadvertently hark back to the Rising Blue era. The same company, Pentagram, developed both Star Alliance and United’s Rising Blue identities, so it's no wonder that the logo and livery flow so well together.

Hey you guys, been a minute since I’ve posted on here, life’s gotten in the way of a lot of things and I’ve been busier than ever at work too. (Which is good cause more model splurges!!) I have had some other acquisitions but due to my phone crapping out I’ve completely forgotten to post those a while ago. Now that I’ve gone ahead and listen to my demons we are met with more models. This time I went ahead and focused on some of the Delta heavies. There’s still many to be bought and plenty of GJs and NGs still to catch up on. However the NGs will come soon and GJs will be done at my local Chicago airliners show in November. (Stay tuned a LOT will be brought home!) Anywho here’s what I unpacked (I’ll post the 1:200 separately later)

More storage apparatus will come soon, evidently I’m running out of storage again.

Today I welcome two new additions from Prairie DieCast. One NG and one Panda.

The first addition is a Qatar Airways A320 A7-AHE with "Fifa World Cup 2022" sticker on the fuselage. Wonderful little model, however the rubber gears seem to be leaking an oil of some sort. The real aircraft was given the name "Nobility" in Arabic, and it is visible on the nose.

Second addition is an older model that made quite the commotion when released. I present my copy of the Cathay Pacific L-1011 VR-HHK in the 1975-77 colors. Upon closer inspection, I can understand why this model was so well liked by the community last year. It's very nice and the polished belly is a wonder to look at. The wing is a bit lose but still attached and in place, probably due to the cold it was sitting in.

Overall I am very happy with these 2 models, especially the Cathay Pacific L-1011. Thank you once again to @BillFlyTheDiecastGuy of Prairie Diecast for allowing me to get my hands on these models.
