Show your Latest 1:200 Purchase

That one looks really excellent, Alex!

On another note: for what project did you obtain that 2007 1/200 Continental 747 back then?

Thanks. The 747 was intended to be used as a custom donor/spares (I love CO meatballs, but the model was the cheapest to have due to a damaged box)
Plans changed and I pulled out the good old (year 1981!) Hasegawa kit instead.
I still have the model just in case someone is interested.

That thing looks so good. Used to think they were a340s missing the 2 engines whenever they used to fly over my house on occasion back in 2019

Back in February 2021, I pre-order Inflight200 Swissair Convair 990 HB-ICB B-990-DR-CB and in June 2021 Inflight 200 Denver Ports of Call Convair 990 N8259C IF990POCD10, they finally arrived!

Like them. Inflight200 delivers the whole range of CV-990s (and 880s) over the years - or rather over a decade right now. If the yellowing of white paint on polished metal parts and/or tarnishing of the polished metal itself was a general problem on certain earlier releases (as some collectors indicated), Inflight200 should definitely re-do those affected releases with modern technical standard and improved painting over polished parts. Plus, there are still some yet undone 880s and 990s to do.

Just got back from the Chicago Airliners Collectibles Fall 2023 and here’s my 1:200 purchase of the haul; the GJ Delta A319. Man is it a FANTASTIC model! This is the good Gemini we all know, had a few good buddies inspect it and no flaws, no nothing. It’s on IF200’s level of perfection. All I can recommend is get a good example while you can, once others start to see how good this model is they will go for it. Otherwise enjoy this beauty!

On the 1:200 side of things, here’s my only 1:200 model for Christmas this year! I’ve been really loving what NG has been pulling off lately with their CRJ-200 mould so I had to throw this one in for an idea. Such a beautiful model and paired nicely with the other one in pic 3! Merry Christmas!

Model numbers 199, 200 and 201 for the collection. I know the Lego Concorde isn’t this scale but it was my 200th. Both 1:200s from ARD in London and the Concorde from the Lego store in Bristol, all Christmas presents from my better half (think she’s finally embraced my hobby of aviation instead of being against it!)

G-AWNI 747-100 from JC
&
G-KILO 747-200F from ARD
