That 'someone else' could be NG or it could be JC/GJ.
NG it is...
JC/GJ 747-8F mould is even worse than PH

Totally agree. Me neither. Don't know why a lot of collectors make a big deal about re-releases. Value of the model is one thing but at the same time a very selfish one I'd think. Lots of collectors would be wary of paying astronomical sums. Limited numbers only promote the bulk-purchase-sell-on-ebay cycle of exploitation (I dare say extortion). The only way to broaden the reach of this hobby and to make it affordable and enjoyable and of course more widely accessible across Geographies is to make it less elitist. Sorry again but yeah I know this is also an unpopular opinion, but yeah True it is.love the re-releases, especially when they come in nice molds. Warning, unpopular opinion coming: I don't enjoy the hunt, I enjoy the models sitting on my shelves and couldn't care less if there is an unlimited supply out there.
That is quite a nice release, although it is a shame there is no Aussie releases. Maybe next month!Hi All!
Here are the latest releases from Phoenix, some pretty interesting releases this time and they are the first to the market with a model of the final 747.

I am very annoyed that it was Phoenix who finally decided to re-release the SQ Cargo 744. I need one and might end up just putting up with the awful mould. Apart from that, the LH and UA look like they will be stunning models, and they are both on excellent moulds. I'm glad to see PH playing to their strengths in this set, and giving us quite a bit of variety as well. If you are thinking about buying the Atlas Air 747, be a bit patient, and wait for NG to release it when their 748 mould comes to market. Your thoughts?
Judging from the last time QF revealed a special livery, I would expect PH to make VH-EBL in the new 'Pride is in the Air' scheme soon, and PH's A330 mould is excellent. It's also likely that GJ/JC will make it, and nor would I be surprised if NG jumped in as well. That is quite a nice release, although it is a shame there is no Aussie releases. Maybe next month!
I'm excited! Hopefully NG makes it, I think they will do it the best.Judging from the last time QF revealed a special livery, I would expect PH to make VH-EBL in the new 'Pride is in the Air' scheme soon, and PH's A330 mould is excellent. That head on shot looks a very angry Triple
Well it’s named battleship grey for a reason! That head on shot looks a very angry Triple
Yeah that's one of the glitches with PH's 777s. The engines have rotating fan blades. They'd modified their previous solid cores and this was the result - presumably I guess it's to keep the loose fan blades disc in placeI'm a bit bothered about the thickness of the engine inlet ring area (the silver ring at the front).
Haha yeah. It does frown. Lol. PH has recently been messing up their cockpit window printing - even on the 767sThat head on shot looks a very angry Triple
Look at the inlet ring on this American 777-300ER, looks like its a separate part?I'm a bit bothered about the thickness of the engine inlet ring area (the silver ring at the front).
Looks a bit too thick in my opinion, a bit 787-esque.
But overall, she's a beauty. I really love the Battleship scheme.

They did print the cockpit windows a tad low. It does not mess up the entire model, which is pretty easy to do with misplaced windshields.Haha yeah. It does frown. Lol. PH has recently been messing up their cockpit window printing - even on the 767s
