I thought I should give my two cents again.

As some of you know, I operate a smaller channel. Just like Connor, my views have really shot downwards of late. Last summer I was averaging 1K views a video and growing rapidly, but now I can barely get over 100 views, usually maxing out at 40. I think YouTube really isn’t pushing Model Aviation content as a whole anymore, and non related aviation videos are doing a fair bit better over on Connor’s channel.

I personally do not use inaccurate brands in titles, but I would likely get more views if I did so. I also have a strict policy of NO AI in my videos whatsoever. Only times I’ve used AI has been for fictional Airport Logo’s.

AI though is something I’m really disappointed to see be implemented by Model Aviation YouTubers. Connor really isn’t that bad compared to Model Aviation (Not to diss, but the thumbnails are just horrid AI). As a smaller YouTuber, using AI makes a lot of sense, but still even with that fact I would rather get less viewers with no clickbait or AI then get more with it.

The idea is that you lie in your titles to get views. People clicked onto that video thinking, oh, GJ is making new GSE. NOPE

• Clickbaity and misleading titles
• Cherry picked data to make your point
• GJ boot licking

Are all reasons I refuse to give any of your videos any views.

Richard shares information, you try to be an "influencer" and clout chase.

Lots of valuable points made in this thread. As someone with a sizeable follower base on IG, I strongly feel obligated to inform people as accurately as possible. Some of you may know that I share updates on A350 production/testing/deliveries, and while it takes time to verify through different production websites, I still do it to minimize false/outdated information.

Hope I’m not too harsh with my words, @CMAviation. I’ve noticed several instances on MAF where your threads were criticized, and to be honest, much of the feedback was justified. It’s good that you are hearing out other opinions. That being said, please do take some advice here very seriously (objective research, unbiased conclusions, thinking about others’ thoughts/POVs), as my main concern is that credibility might be lost should this continue on your social media accounts.

Also, I understand that it isn’t easy to balance between work and content creation. I do full-time research at a university, and it’s not a walk-in-the-park! Nevertheless, we still choose to maintain an active social media presence, and with that comes great responsibility.

I appreciate the feedback. As mentioned, I’m going to revamp the structure of the presentation. If it isn’t well-received, I’ll probably be done posting my content on here altogether. I at least want to give my best effort at a revamp though as it could have a positive impact on somebody who has never seen my content before.

I've always been a fan of your content. But as others have mentioned, there feels to be a change in the direction of it. Before, the posts had more of an authentic feel - a fellow collector, a friend, who built their influence through their excitement for the hobby and was proud to share that with others. The music, the narration, the backdrop, all of it brought out my excitement too.

The content now has more of a 'mass production' feel - churn out as many videos as possible regardless of the quality to flood the search queries and garner views for money. I'd rather see a detailed review of an older model than an unboxing of some cheap Hogan wings. The constant ads are also very bothersome...YouTube has enough ads and I don't want to have to be bombarded with another layer of ads (instead they can be placed in the comment section or video description). Then there's the paid members only content?? This is not OF, but that's the vibe I get.

I still love your content but find myself skipping over the newer videos and just rewatching older unboxing/reviews/airport updates for the nostalgia. Since there's been a pause in releases from NG and Gemini, now would be a great time to unbox some of the older aircraft and review/re-review them. Bring back that nostalgia that everyone misses...review the older NG aircraft that collectors right now are wishing could be re-released for example.

I like that idea. There’s a lot of his older videos from 2019-2020 that are very nostalgic to me — it would be a good opportunity to revisit models/airport updates from that era.
