Pandafoxtoys Customer Service

Anyone have issues with this retailer recently? Emailed them twice regarding an order and haven't heard back. It has been 3.5 weeks now that a model was shipped back to them and I haven't received the exchange model. Never had issues before with Pandafox before so this is a little odd.

I usually buy through their eBay store because of their customer service policy, but each time they sent me a model that was broken, I sent it back and was refunded quickly. Since it’s an exchange model, may be in the mail but they forgot to send the tracking link. I’d definitely follow up with them about it.

I tried a week ago and nothing. I'll try one more time I suppose.

Just to give you a little comfort this happened to me as well. I emailed them about a full and half week ago about an order I placed on 11/25 that was not shipped and only got a response after a week saying that they needed to backfill one plane in that order. Emailed back immediately to tell them to just ship the rest and cancel that one plane but then it was silent again, so I emailed again yesterday with a stronger tone and they finally got the order shipped.

They apologized that they were overwhelmed by the Black Friday sale which I don't blame them for. They had the best deals and I had multiple mega orders with them, upward of $1200 worth of models. I'd just keep emailing them and they should get back to you eventually but yes in any case I think it's been very irresponsible of them and "overwhelmed by good sale" doesn't sound like a good reason to delay response and shipment.

I have two models on order from them, one previously a preorder from Gemini’s December releases, but as of late last week they have it marked in-stock but haven’t shipped it. I placed the order for the second model separately at about the same time the preorder came in, so I’m assuming they would combine the orders under one shipment.

What’s strange is I never got the email that they have the GJ December models in-stock.

EDIT: The models were shipped without having to message them.

They shipped mine too. Guess it was backlog indeed, just wish the communication were more transparent

A lot of models that have already come out are still listed as pre-orders, including the Southwest New Mexico One livery as well as the recent Delta Airbuses. Is Panda Fox just really backed up?

Are they still a little behind? I saw other retailers seem to have received some of the newer JC Wings releases and waiting on the Icelandair Cargo 767-300F but still showing as a pre-order on their side?

They shipped my orders awhile ago. Not sure about the preorder status but I did notice some NG releases from months ago still listed as preorder

I’ve noticed that they have issues getting NG preorders in. I was told that it isn’t an isolated issue though.
Seems like it's still an issue. The latest set of NG Models they have is from May of this year. No new NG Models since then.

Are we really sure if this is an NG Models issue, or is Panda Models just not ordering any?

They told me they’d be getting the current releases a few weeks ago but they’re highly unresponsive on email.

Not sure if this applies to all pre-order status models, but some NG Models listed as "pre-order" are actually in stock and will ship if ordered. Their website stated a few days ago that they were undergoing a warehouse move, delaying shipments for several days. They probably have a massive backlog right now. The owner is usually pretty decent with customer service. I would give them a chance. If something goes wrong, they will always make it right.

It may be both. I have talked pretty significantly with some of Canada’s retailers about NG and it seems like NG is having considerable trouble with orders to some of the bigger stores. The small retailers have their stuff in pretty quickly but the bigger stores have waited maybe twice as long for the same model. Maybe it’s just a coincidence but it sure seems like it to me.

Well, I'm still in diapers, but it has been enough to get a view from the other side. Just like retailers get overwhelmed with Pre-orders, so do manufacturers. There are tons of different issues and scenarios going on.

As a collector, I only got an order canceled by one of the small retailers that could not source the model after taking my pre-order. Since then, I have started to order models I really want from multiple retailers.

I'm in no rush to list recent Panda MD-11s for pre-orders for instance, as based on my experience, it is somewhat of a futile move. It is a bit of a "choose your poison" situation and "bird in hand" seems to be the preferred concoction for me at this stage.

I find it interesting that NG seems to sort smaller retailers first, seems like the prefer to pack smaller shipments while procrastinating with the bigger ones. My experience with other brands, both as a collector and as a retailer is the opposite. The best cu$tomer$ tend to get favored. This represents a challenge for new retailers as you sort of have to buy your place in the market in some situations.

But back on topic, I never had issues with Panda Fox, though in my last year, I had been buying mainly from WCA. But I remember PandaFox were extremely competitive, so it should be no surprise that they got overwhelmed. As far as in-stock items still showing as pre-orders, that's also very common and has happened to me many times (I get a model delivered, and the store still shows it as a pre-order). Turns out updating product status usually has to be done manually, and tends to get confusing too, especially when release announcements outpace the delivery of the actual models by a multitude of manufacturers.

It truly is a shame PandaFoxToys is in the rut they're in as they used to be my go-to retailer for literally everything. Being US based with free shipping and 5 percent made off made all their models very affordable to me. And their customer service used to be very responsive within a day or two. Now sometimes it might take days or no reply even. Their inventory now lacks compared to elsewhere and like the other poster mentioned, sometimes their inventory isn't updated, but hopefully this new warehouse move puts them back on track.
