NG Models August 2025 Releases

I think the point that is trying to be made here is that the releases a lot of people want are standard livery 787-9’s and 777-300ERS - workhorses of ANA’s fleet that people commonly fly on or spot. Yes it can be shown that in the post-covid years that standard livery 737’s, 787-10’s, domestic 777’s, and an L-1011’s have been released along with the Future Promise, Pokémon, Star Wars, and Flying Honu jets in great numbers. But what some people are looking for (including myself) are standard livery 787-9’s and 777-300ERS which have simply not been released for a long time, no matter what way you look at it.
yeah that makes sense. Phoenix did do both recently tho (tho 789 is still in the making), i think there 77w and 789 mould are old but still top notch.

Regarding ANA's 787s, I only want these few because I don't like the early Phoenix models, whose cockpit windows are the same as those of the C919.

I have an idea. I can wait for the NG redemption for China Eastern Airlines' 77W, so I only need to purchase:
24063 787-9 Dreamliner China Southern Airlines B-1168 The 787 Boeing 787 Dreamliner
55152 787-9 Dreamliner, (junyao Airlines) B-226N,
62072 A330-300, China Eastern Airlines B-6128, “Yunnan Peacock (Orange)”

BRO 😎 This is my favorite standard livery of any Chinese airline. It looks great on the A350.
Hehe I'm with you on that.
For me it's a kind of a tie Hehe - between this and CZs

Actually for the A350s in general - and also I guess for us GenX / Xennial folk haha, the 'classic-airliner' scheme remains timeless - and with the A350s super elegant and streamlined design with large blended winglets, even more so!

I'd have hoped for the A350 to wear ANA colours, but that's not happening.

REF(Mods) DO SOMETHING

I have tried to ignore this thread but here I am again. THIS FIRST BIT IS MY PERSONAL OPINION

I can see both sides of the issue here. Fundamentally a lot of this is people moaning that NG aren't making the model they want, but at the same time I understand that frustration. However let's all give NG a bit of credit here and assume they do have sales data and are making models that actually sell based off of that data.

On other topics raised:

SPECIAL SCHEMES
I think it is fairly well known that special liveries sell well. You and I, as aviation enthusiasts might well prefer standard schemes, but it does appear special schemes sell and presumably to a much wider market

ALL NIPPON
NG has made 21 NH models. Yes there are duplicates in there and some are old releases but that is no different than for every other major airline. It is a significantly higher number than has been made for comparable airlines like SQ, MH, PR, KLM, QF and the diversity is just as good as for other big airlines like JL, LH, AF that have similar numbers.

NG can't make everything for everyone all the time.

OVER RELIANCE ON NG
Yes NG have the best mould catalogue but relying on NG to make 100% of the models you are willing to buy is foolhardy at best and a recipe for madness at worst.

Using All Nippon as an example there have been 421 releases for the airline. 24 have been since the start of 2024. If you are unwilling to buy any of the following standard colours models released in that period which include (note I'm excluding special schemes and weaker moulds like the JC 73G, PHX A320):

AV400 787-8 JA820A
Phoenix 777-300ER JA795A
AV400 787-10 JA900A
AV400 787-10 JA981A
C Models A320 JA01VA
C Models A320 JA8997
JC Wings 737-500 JA8195

Then you have an issue. I don't want NG to duplicate releases made perfectly fine by other brands.

THIS SECOND BIT IS ME AS MODERATOR:

@ghqv2988 don't make it so personal please
@swagninja84 - let's try and play a bit nicer
@777-300ER , @Starz10p Aviation , @planes_on_a_shelf you guys did change the rules of your argument quite a bit about the ANAs.

People can moan about not getting what they want, but equally they can't get too upset when they're called out for it too. However let's try and be friendly as we can and not take it so personally.

If you can elaborate what change I made to my argument would like to know for mutual benefit

Man I really don't want to relitigate it. I was quite pleased to see a heated discussion I wasn't part of!!! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

I would say though that every month the same conversations are had on these NG release threads, but not on other brand's threads. I know everyone 'loves' NG more and some have become a bit dependent on them, but at this point it seems like an abusive relationship. They don't make the models people want and those people hate on them for that. Not good for either party.

Ah well there goes my now deleted comment. It was just some friendly trolling right back at the troll. Nothing that should have been taken personally if it wasn’t true 🙃

I’ve lurked long enough to see people’s criticisms of other brands on here, ranging from every aspect about Gemini to the crappy moulds and printing issues of Phoenix or the disastrous QC that is Aeroclassics. the difference is that NG consistently markets themselves as the brand for the people but then consistently goes about making largely self serving and inexplicable decisions, effectively ignoring the voice of community. They are the ones getting people’s hopes up only to squash them. You really can’t blame collectors for holding them to a higher standard. It almost feels like they’re slimy car salesmen at this point, promising this and that but only caring about themselves in the end.
