NG Model 1:400 June 2025 Release Hints

Just American and Chinese reg models with a few Korean models sprinkled in between for good measure! What a sight to behold! On a serious note - nice to see the tristar and the mad dogs...

No 767, so many B and N regs again. At least some HL, but PLEASE SOME EUROPEANS

Good to see MD-80s and L-1011s, the rest is the same stuff over and over again. No thrill from NG anymore. I much prefer to root for HX, Panda, Phoenix by now.

Could not agree more. Not so long ago the NG models hints were great and something to look forward to in terms of diversity. The last months they are boring as heck at least to me.

South America especially but also Europe needs some love by NG.

Is there new blood running this company from what it used to be? It feels like someone else is totally steering the ship and not in a good way.

Their release diversity and communication started to decline ever since their original Instagram page was deleted. They remade their account, but it was never the same afterwards. Right now is about as bad as it can be..

They used to inquire with the collectorate about model detailing and recommendations on their social media account which sparked so much optimism. Now they are radio silent on virtually everything which I don't understand.

Outside of the Tristars and Mad Dogs this is going to be an awful release. Everything is either from China, Korea, the US, or Taiwan. Hopefully they decide to slip in a couple extra models outside of these countries because the backlash they’re getting on social media is immense.

I get the case of Chinese models selling well for NG, especially on home turf, but the imbalance between Chinese releases to everything else in the west has gotten out of control. I wouldn’t mind a deluge of them if it meant we still got a healthy balance of models from other continents like it was in 2022 or so.

Another thing I don’t understand is how they can release the same aircraft type within the release set with various printing (e.g. the Korean A350 cockpit printing in the last release set). If they take pride as a leader in the hobby, they need to revisit the drawing board and ask themselves WHY they decided to become a company in the first place (besides profit, that answer should be obvious -- the community). In terms of change in response to feedback, the only thing they’ve implemented was shrinking their release sets from 40 models to half the size. One would expect them to diversify their models and improve QC, right? Nope, it’s still the same boring pattern. They’re always welcome to continue doing as they’re doing now and cater to their niche, but for me personally, I no longer buy NG as much.
